TV order??? wrong name on the invoice!!? UPDATE!!!

i know i am being a little ocd here. but here is the situation. after paralysis by analysis i ordered our pioneer plasma. i am happy with the model a.nd the price. i called just before we were going out to eat and said to the rep that i had been talking to; this is 'dawn real last name'. we went over the details and the price. as i was giving the info for the invoice and shipping; i said "dawn or brian" went on with my address, dh spoke to him and gave the credit card number, handed the phone back to me. wrapped it up,that was it. i get home 2 hours or so later, check the email and the invoice has the wrong name! "dawn o'brien" now i understand how it happened; i said 'dawn OR brian" i tried calling back but they were gone for the night, pre holiday, etc. i replied to the email with the correct details and left a voice mail. this is not a big deal,right????

I take this was done throug some mail order company or website, not a local store that you called and ordered from?

It depends on how they process credit cards. Sometimes if the name doesn't match the credit card, the order can be delayed or cancelled.

If the order does process, it probably will be delivered OK (after all, it isn't arriving by US mail). I would make sure the name is corrected (either therough the company you bought it from, or by you personally calling the Pioneer helpine) for warranty purposes, but that can be done after it is delivered.

thanks. i definately plan on having them correct it. if the worst that happens is that the order doesn't process that can be re done so tht's okay. the address is correct. also, warrantees are processes with serial numbers...which i just now thought of.

Did you give them your credit card info differently from your shipping information? If they have your name correct on the billing info it should be okay. But if they have the name wrong on the billing and shipping, it might get bounced back to which you'll get a call or email anyways. Good luck!!

All that concern for nothing. my new plasma is being delivered tomorrow. its actually one town away but too big to fit in a mini van. the shipping company corrected the last name and i am happy to have saved myself over $1000 if i had gotton it at best buy.
