I'm really telling my age, but as a little kid I watched the Wonderful World of Color with Walt Disney! I watched everything Disney put out.
It was different back then. The kids didn't control what was going to be watched and they didn't watch as much tv. Dad had control of our 3 channels, LOL, and it was usually westerns or sports. We played outside everyday til dark. I didn't watch much at all during my teens.
But now I am making up for it:)

We only had the one TV both at home and at my grandparents' house at the beach when my sister and I were kids in the 70s. I remember my grandfather always watched a movie from 4-6 p.m. every day, and The Monkees were on at 5:30 on a different channel. The horror! We always had to wait until he either didn't like the movie and got up to do something else or had seen the movie, in which case we were allowed to watch our show. We always knew which episode it was within the first few seconds, just like The Brady Bunch. We would get so excited if it was the ones where the Bradys went to Hawaii, hahaha.

We weren't in control of the TV back then, and there was no such thing as Nickelodeon or even cable TV. We had the regular channels and UHF channels. Saturdays my parents watched the absolutely boring Pro Bowlers' Tour, and then my Dad usually watched TV. Weekday mornings before school we watched Captain Noah and his Magical Ark, which was Philadelphia's Captain Kangaroo knockoff. He showed Mr. Magoo cartoons and episodes of Gumby. At night we watched what my parents watched.
