Tux shirt color - white or ivory

Hi All - i searched on this and the only thread I found had loads of broken picture links....

My dress is technically ivory (but not a real yellow ivory). When we stopped into MW to look at vest colors, the woman said my guys should be in ivory shirts so that my dress doesnt seem yellow or darker compared to them.
Problem is, DF and I dont like the ivory shirts. They look too creamy to me - does that make sense??

Anybody have any thoughts/advice or even pics they could share?

I'm interested in this too! My dress is ivory, but it kinda actually almost looks white, of course until you put white next to it! I was thinking about having the guys go with ivory because I don't want his shirt to seem too bright white next to my ivory, but at the same time my dress is so not a dark ivory that I don't want his shirt to look too "creamy" colored next to me.

I got my shoes dyed ivory and they included a small swatch with that, so I'm thinking about bringing that swatch to MW and put it up against the different shirts?

Most tux shops now have a couple shades of ivory. I did go with the ivory shirts, but the only way you can tell if they're ivory is if you stick them next to something white. They're a very subtle ivory, not yellow at all!

I too am using MW and we went with ivory. The white was just too bright and I was afraid the difference would be alot more noticable than the white.

I went with ivory for the guys as well. My dress was a subtle ivory and the white was too noticible. No one could tell that the shirts weren't white, but if they would have gone with white you could have told the difference in the photos.

I guess I will just have to look at a swatch of my dress next to an ivory shirt and see.
We thought about having the guys in black shirts to avoid the whole problem, but my MOH said, "Wow, that looks so mafia"

So back to ivory or white
