Tux measurements

We are flying over from the UK and we'll be hiring a tux from Carolyn Allens. I was just looking at their site and making a list of the measurements they need but I'm getting a bit confused I remember seeing a thread on the boards a while ago where people were discussing this and I'm sure someone gave great advice on how to measure etc... can anyone point me in the right direction??

Also, how do I know what jacket size or shoe size? I know what he is in the UK, but I'm not sure what that will be in the US

This site shows that US and UK mens' jacket sizes are the same:

... as does this one: http://www.onlineconversion.com/clothing_mens.htm

So I think the jacket size should be no problem!
