Tux colors question

I need help! We are ordering my DH's tux - and we are purchasing it rather than renting it. It's way cheaper since we need it with us the whole time we're gone on the cruise, plus the following week for our MK shoot.

My question is - should he get an ivory shirt to match my dress? We didn't really like this on him since we thought that it looked kind of dingy. But if he gets a white shirt, it won't match. Which one do we get? :confused3

We want him to look classic - kind of like James Bond. We ordered him a classic cut one button jacket with a notched label. Black bow tie, and a black vest. The white looks best with this.

Advice? Anyone done a white shirt and ivory dress? Do you have pics?
THANKS!!

i wondered the same thing - so I took the wrap that came with my dress to the tux place when we picked out shirts.

I was so sure we would have white shirts, but the ivory really did look better with my ivory dress (and my ivory isnt that far off from white!)

I would definitely go with ivory. Best advice that I heard was that if the guys did white, then an ivory dress would look dingy in comparison to the bright white. You don't want the bride to look dingy!! So I think its better to match. Honestly I think both will "appear" white in the photos anyway, and everyone will look sharp. My dress is ivory and so we also are having ivory linens (instead of white) and ivory candles for our reception (non-disney) for the same reason.
