Sounds wonderful, but I don't want something over fancy that I feel awkward with children there. I have Biergarten booked but this looks wonderful, and its something different with the kids menu. Also I notice the kids menu the apps and desert are a separate price, should it be included all together for one price like all the other restaurant?

Hi

Here is my review. We dined there early last week. We were on the dining plan. This is a great dining plan restaurant, but I would never pay for it out of pocket.

After we left Future World we headed back to Italy for our Tutto Italia reservation. This restaurant has a formal atmosphere to it. The chandaliers and wall paintings give it a more upscale feel. As I was looking through the menu I was shocked at the cost of the entrees. There was bread and a small dish of raw vegatables served to us prior to ordering our meal. Most of them were in the mid $20 range while others were in the mid $30 range. I chose to eat the spaghetti with meatballs. This entree was priced at $25...:scared1:. Now I understand the price of wheat has gone up recently, but a plate of spaghetti with meatballs should not cost $25. Kim had the bruchitina linguini. It looked like a baked fettucini alfredo. I will say the food was very good. Our dishes were well prepared For dessert Kim had the chocolate cake and I had the Chiraposseles; which was 3 puff pasteries filled with vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate syrup.

The total cost of our bill was $108 without the tip, but it cost us 1 table service credit each from the dining plan. If I had to pay out of pocket for this meal I would have left the restaurant in tears . This is a great dining plan restaurant, but I would not pay cash for it. Bottom line; its overpriced itialian food.

Here are some photos of our the restaurant and our dishes.
Bread and raw veggies before the meal

My spaghetti and meatballs. $25 :scared1:

My dessert. Very tasty, but not worth the $10 price tag.

Thanks for the review, now did it feel fancy and not a place for kids? We have 3 children and one of then being a rambunctious 4 year old, who every now and then has a meltdown when he is bored..:rolleyes1

The restaurant does have an upscale feel to it, but we did see kids around. We also saw most people in their theme park daily attire; jean shorts, etc.

I think your child would be fine. They do accomodate children with no problem.

Am I correct that the meals don't come with salad or bread and those
items are ala carte ?

With the Dining Plan you would only get entree, non-alcoholic bev & desert-
correct ?

The meals come with bread/breadsticks and sweet butter spread(you have to ask for salted butter) and the small veggie antipasta as shown. The spread was delicious. DH ordered a side salad and he enjoyed it. We were not on the dining plan, but will be in August.
It was after 8PM and they took us in as a walk in as long as we sat outside. Food was good. I had Pasta Fagioli soup with bread and DH had spaghetti with sausage. It was a late last minute dinner, and we will eat there again.
Yes, with the dining plan you only get entree, non-alcoholic bev and dessert.

It was amazing, we went a few weeks ago. There are a ton of pics and my review from our April trip on my signature

Eat there 3 times now and had great meals. The pasta is out of this world.

I ate there for the first time this past Dec and already have ADRs for both my May and Sept trips, if that tells you anything. It was my favorite meal of the trip (and that includes the meal I ate Le Cellier a few nights later). Of course in Dec the appetizer was included:rolleyes: . I had the lemon salmon appetizer, fish with clams, and zabaglione ice cream with berries and chocolate sauce. Every thing was soooo good. I agree their prices are expensive. In fact, my meal there would have been more expensive than my Jiko meal I had the night before (and of course Jiko cost me 2 TS credits). I'm on the DxDP for both my May and Sept trips and hear that lemon salmon appetizer calling my name already (or is that the eggplant appetizer I hear, or maybe it's the melon/ham appetizer that's calling me?:rotfl: :rotfl: ). Anyway, we never particularly liked Alfredos, but love their replacement.

Oh, yeah, as far as kids, I saw several there, but didn't really notice them. They were all busy digging into their food.

I am in the minority, I think, with my view. Our family of eight dined there in December during the CP. We had the worst waiter, Roberto, and possibly the most disappointing food we have ever eaten on WDW property (and we have eaten A LOT over 22 vacations)! Our bill came to $560 or $580, I think. I just can't tell you how awful it was. Never, ever again. If we hadn't been on the dining plan I think I would have croaked!

Don't order the steaks!

We had dinner here in Nov. 07 and loved it. For my appy I had the mozzerella with tomatoes. Very tasty. The veal ravioli with truffle cream was delicious. And my dessert was really good too. I had the berries with the zabaglione gelato and I crushed up the amaretti cookies they give you and put them on top.

About the kids meals being together with appy's, it depends on the restaurant. At WGP Cafe they don't have kids meals that are all-inclusive for one price either. Is that what you meant?

How were the meatballs? For more picky sons, think they could do ziti/penne/rigatoni with meatballs??

Looking forward to Tutto!!!

Those Chirapossales looked quite delic!!!

Thx.:yay:

I ate there on the DDP. The food was plentiful and good but way over priced. I thought the food at Alfredos was better though. I would never pay OOP to eat there. We also attended a F & W pairing there during the F & W fest last year. The Maitre' d spoke to my mother about her specific dietary retrictions but they still brought her stuff she had told them she couldn't eat. I'm hoping for major improvement/ lower prices after they do the rehab & reopen later this year.

I have been there twice. I have decided that I am not impressed. It is way over priced and the food is ok but I didn't leave thinking that I had an amazing meal and the atmposphere was nice but not relaxing and nothing all that special to make me go back for it.

If you are on the DP I guess it would be fine but to pay those prices for pasta out of pocket :scared1:

Could someone compare this to Mama Melrose. I was thinking of cancelling my ADR's for Tutto and making Mama's. Thanks

We just ate at Tutto Italia last week on 4/24/08 and it was very good (tastewise) my steak was terrific and DH's lasagne was good too....but pricewise, only if you are on the DDP. Out of pocket would be way to expensive for pasta. I would eat there again IF on the DDP.

We are going to Tutto during the week of August 12th - August 19th. It will
be our first time to visit. We went to Mama's our first visit to WDW in 2004
and the service was horrible, the dining room was freezing, but the food was
good.

We LOVE Tutto's. The food is delicious! We have eaten there probably 6 times. We have never had bad service. Yes, it is overpriced, and I would only go there on the DDP. But it is SO good. Don't go to Mama Melrose over this restaurant if you want really good food.

they would have to be somewhat close in caliber to compare them......it's not EVEN close---Mama Melrose is like a bad Olive Garden, and Tutto is more like fine (albeit overpriced) Italian Dining.
