Which restaurant do you prefer? My BF and I are in our early 30's and looking for some exciting or unique dining experiences (we'll be on the DxDP and he's a bit of a foodie, while I'm more interested in the dining "experience" than the cuisine itself). Contemplating Tutto or Marrakesh....any thoughts? Please vote if you have dined at either. Thanks!!

They are both totally different restaurants...

That being said, haven't eaten at Tutto in close to 2 years, so not fair to give a review at this time, as the menu has changed. We have eaten there several times, before Tutto (Alfredos) and after, and find it highly overpriced and overrated. Food wasn't that good, IMHO.

Marrakesh used to be my fav, so we have eaten here tons of times over the past 10 years, the most recent being less than 2 months ago. I was highly disappointed, as they have now falled victim to the same Disney cutbacks that we are seeing...greatly reduced portions, food and service subpar. Even the bellydancer and musicians have reduced their playing time. Now, this used to be my fav restaurant, so I know it very well, so if you have never been there, you won't have those experiences to compare to.

In terms of atmosphere, I like Marrakesh as it's very quiet in there, and the musicians/bellydancer are great to listen to and watch. As for Tutto, it is very noisy and big, so you won't be able to enjoy much quiet time in there.

I am afraid I probably haven't been much help. They are 2 very different restaurants. Since you are on the dining plan, then it won't matter for cost, but if paying cash, as we do, then Tutto is very expensive. In terms of being on the DxDP, you'll get appetizers, entrees, beverages and dessert at both, so you'll have plenty of food, but Marrakesh has feast platters (used to be very good, not as good in March), that you can pay an upcharge for (5.00, depending upon feast), and so that could be a consideration for you as well. The platters allow you to sample many dishes at one time.

Happy eating and good luck deciding, Tiger :)

Food - you can probably get Italian food at home, but Moroccan?

Marrakesh is a beautiful restaurant to look at. Very interesting music. Belly dancer. It all seemed very special.

Thanks for the input. Definitely true that an Italian restaurant is far less unique than a Moroccan one......but then there's cannolis and tiramisu and.......mmmmmmmm......definitely makes the decision a bit trickier. :rotfl: I just can't make up my mind.

We ate at both during our trip this past January. I won't get into details because I could talk forever about our Tutto meal, but hands down I would pick Tutto.

I give Marakesh a 6 out of 10
I give Tutto a 10 out of 10

Good luck!

because you are going for dining experience, i would go with marakesh :goodvibes

Marakesh is my husband's alltime favorite restaurant -- he'll be eating there next Wednesday. I've eaten there once and particularly DISLIKED it. In fact, I remember it as being so bad that I want to eat there again because I can't imagine how they stay open if the meals are as bad as I remember.

Marrakesh was horrible I am middle eastern and the food was either boiled or microwaved, I would vote for Tutto atalia, couldnt be worse than Marrakesh :)

We ate at Tutto this past Monday and it was SUCH a letdown. My lasagna tasted just like Chef Boyardee from a can, seriously. My daughter's manicotti was bland, and my son did not care for his pasta dish either. DH's shortribs were like a mediocre potroast. I would have liked my dessert (gelato with berries) if the berries hadn't been frozen solid.

We have never eaten at Tutto Italia, but we did eat in Italy when it was Alfredo's. The room was beautiful, but the food was okay.

We have been to Marrakesh on each trip. The chicken bastilla alone is worth the visit. The belly dancer and show were good and the decor is fabulous. We always look for Morroccan restaurants whenever we travel now. While the food at Epcot doesn't seem as seasoned as at other restaurants we've visited, the flavors are very close. If you've never tried this cuisine, this is a must do (especially for the foodie in your family).

It's so funny to see the wide array of opinions on restaurants here. It's hugely helpful to hear the different reviews, but I guess ultimately, I'll have to go with my gut (though I'm still not sure what it's actually telling me). I'm so bad at making decisions sometimes, I think I was secretly hoping it would be a landslide vote for one or the other, that way it would make my decision easier :rotfl2: Sounds like either place could be a hit or miss, but I've really never had a downright negative experience anywhere at WDW.....when it comes down to it, I'm always gonna walk away happy just having been there. Many thanks! :flower3:

While Restaurant Marrakesh has a very unique dining experience (the belly dancer & beautifully decorated restaurant), we found the food to be mediocre and lukewarm and the service to be very rude (including the manager). We are typically not picky about such things and easy to please, but I have read several other reviews stating similar remarks.....on the flipside, we have always found the CS location in Morocco (Tangierine Cafe) to be fantastic and great service! When we are in the mood for middle eastern style food at Disney, we usually end up at Tangierine Cafe now. The portions are huge and definitely big enough for dinner.

We found Tutto to be a very solid restaurant with an enjoyable atmosphere. The best theming and experience we have had at Epcot dining so far has definitely been an even tie between the Biergarten and Teppan Edo.

Like I said, we are usually very easy to please and don't usually let bad service ruin our meals, but we found the service staff to be so rude, that mixed with cold and watery food, we left there feeling very disappointed with no interest in giving it a second try. The atmosphere was pretty, but did not make up for everything else it lacked in.
