Please help me decide which one? I'm such a libra and keep weighing the pros and cons of each and can't do both because we have Le Cellier and Mrrekesh on the plan sooooo which one is better for us? It will be me dd 16and dd's friend also 16.

I like the both. We just tried Chefs De France this past December and fell in love with it. I do not think you could go wrong with either one.

It's hard to say which one, because everyone's likes/dislikes are different. I would go to allears.net, show the menu's to your daughter and her friend and then take a vote. :)

We have eaten in both - last time in August. This trip we had to eliminate one and both my DH and myself decided - independently - to drop France. It is really good, but we loved Italy. My DS, 19, thought that it was the best last year. Look at the menus, it may help you decide. But 3 votes here for Italy.

We love Chefs. We went this past Dec and the whole family requested it for our Sept trip. My 10 year old daughter also said the waiters were HOT too :rotfl2:

I have never been to Chef's but I can say that I have been to the Italian one and it was horrible, in fact we went with friends and he is from Italy and we asked him if this was real Italian food, he said not from my Italy it isn't. He thought the food was terrible as well, but everyone has to decide for themselves. Oh but I love Le Cellier. yummy

 Thanks that's my dilemma LOL. But I need to pick one?????

I vote Chefs, but that is because I can have Italian anytime in Boston's North End.

I vote that you do something different. If you have Italian a lot, go with France. Or the other way around. As a PP noted, check out the menus and see what works for your tastes.

Either decision will be a good one.:goodvibes

I would vote for Tuttos--mainly due to the extremely rude manager we encountered at Chefs de France....

Come on!

That's part of the France experience. You usually have to fly to Paris to get that. :lmao: :rotfl:

OMG we found this neighborhood 2 years ago while on vacay in Mass. Awesome restaurants. I just love caprese salad and lemon cello on a hot day!

It seems we have a bit of a tie here with lovers of both places. I guess you can't go wrong with either. I am very picky with Italian food actually usually b/c of the red sauces as I find its better if its homemade but then again I am not too much of the adventerous eater either. Any other opinions are welcome and thanks!!

We love them both but prefer Tutto...better cocktails and I am a huge pasta lover

I can leave that experience out then. Having a so-called professional manager tell me that I could carry my 81-year-old mother piggyback (since she walked slowly) in order to make it to the Candlelight Processional on time, after the ONLY reason we were late was due to their inefficient staff and inability to straighten out our bill. We arrived there at 3:50 and left at 6:40!! I had a whole post about the treatment we received there.

Granted the food was delicious, but why ruin your meal with an unpleasant experience due to the staff?

I would choose Tutto

For me Chefs de France is a lovely restaurant and before I went there I always wanted to be one of those people sitting by the glass windows...
We went there and had a crappy table (right by the kitchen door) and we'd waited too long to refuse it - though I'm sure if we had spoken up they would have tried their best to oblige us, but we didn't want to miss the fireworks.
I had the filet which was delicious and the potatoes were yummy too, but the green beans taste like Boston Market. My husband had a seafood dish (I don't remember what it was) and it wasn't so great. Desserts were good but not spectacular.

For Tutto we both loved our meals. I had the primavera-type pasta that was amazing and my husband had the crabmeat pasta - delicious too. The sottobosco dessert was unique and very good.

So that's our experience. I would return to Chefs but I thought the food was better at Tutto. If you go to Chefs, try to get a table by the window, ours wasn't the only "bad" table in the place.

I would go with Chefs de France... I think it has some of the best atmosphere in WS- plus the food is amazing!

Italian restaurants are everywhere...French restaurants are not. I love Chefs de France and will have lunch there in 2 weeks. I ate in Italy once - just before it closed as Alfredo's. It was good, but very expensive for a plate of lasagna.
