Tutto Italia Menu Posted

Wow - the new menu prices are really high. Charging what I see on this menu I would expect a better meal here than pretty much anything I've ever had at DisneyWorld.
I disagree. Entrees run $24 to $36. At Bistro de Paris, entrees run $28 to $36, so I expect this place to just about as good as Bistro de Paris -- no better.

I'm very sad Alfredo's is gone, because we loved their 'gnocchi.' (Are there any other Italian restaurants on at WDW which serve it?):sad1:

I believe one of the Puck's in Downtown Disney has a gnocchi dish. Hope you find it..........I myself am still looking for a replacement for the fetuccini Alfredo that appears to have been removed from ALL the Disney restaurants. :confused3

I think the Tutto Italia menu looks interesting enough to try. I never thought the food at Disney was any higher than most decent restaurants so I don't have a big problem with the prices listed, although I wouldn't do "family platters" of ANYTHING for $59/per person. Ick.

I think it looks great and can't wait try it for our Candlelight Processional Dinner Package in December:thumbsup2 And we also loved Alfredo's!

Same here! I'm looking forward to trying this place. :thumbsup2

One thing I did notice.....it's EXPENSIVE :scared:

How can you disagree with what minie_meese has had? I happen to agree that compared to a lot of the Disney Dining we've done, this is reasonable - compared to Flying Fish or Narcoosees or California Grill or Bistro..... But this is definitely on the higher end for "park restaurants"

I was looking at the Portabello Yacht Club menu as we were thinking of dining there on our upcoming trip and noticed that they have a "gnocchi" dish. :wave2:

Is it included on DDP? I have got mixed answers. I have a reservation for October 20th but probably won't use it if it is not on DDP. Also wondering if it is 1 TS or 2 TS because of the such high prices

Just called today and got an ADR for December. The CM (without me asking) informed me it was 1TS credit under the DDP. :cutie:

I said "pretty much anything" and did not say "everything" for a reason. And I agree it should be at least as good and not necessarily any better than Bistro with the prices it is charging - I like good Italian food and good French food. The Bistro menu is much more appealing to me so I would choose it over the Tutto Italia but that is a personal taste thing.

I have not seen the new Tutto Italia and realize it is a temporary setting, so I cold be way off base here, but I would expect a restaurant with the prices I saw to have a wonderful intimate atmosphere. Most of the restaurants that accept the DDP (especially those that requrie 1TS) tend to get pretty crowded with a lot of kids - and that does not usually lend itslef to quiet or initmate. Don't get me wrong, I love to bring kids to restaurants and do so quite often, but I don't expect a quite intimate experience and I am not going to pay $80 for my dinner when I bring kids. That's just me - I am sure many other people will enjoy the restaurant and it will do great.

Looks pretty good to me, albeit expensive. Are people just frustrated that it's different from Alfredos?

I note that the one person on the thread who's actually tried it said it was good.

This restaurant is in a theme park and will most likely have a good number of kids present at all times, especially if it participates in the dining plan for 1 credit.

Has anyone had dinner here since it opened? I am interested to hear more reviews. It's my 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday and I just made a reservation. In your opinion should I try it (makes me a little nervous where it just opened and they are still woring out the kinks and there aren't many reviews yet) or try to get into our favorite Wolfgang Puck Cafe which we've been to before and loved it? We're on the dining plan this time and I don't think I'll pay the prices at either place out of pocket next year (we won't do the dining plan next year due to the changes in it). Decisions, decisions. Thanks so much for the advice and opinions.

I think that menu looks great....can't wait to try it! Wow.

(we liked Alfredo's also)

I'm confused:confused3 with the family table at $59. Is this per person or a family? Yikes!:scared: $59 for melon with ham and two pasta dishes and dessert. That's alot for pasta:confused:

I'm Italian also and maybe that's why I just can't justify spending so much money on Italian food. The prices just seem outrageous to me. I'm also half Mexican and for the same reason I also believe the prices at San Angel are outrageous.

When you can cook better for yourself or home - or go out and have GREAT Italian or Mexian (or whatever) food at a restaurant, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Hopefully, the food will be excellent. At least then I may sometime venture to give it a go. The worst is expensive and bad tasting.

Just got off the phone with dining reservations and got an ADR for Oct. 9 for dinner with no problem. The CM said they just started taking reservations on Saturday, and it is 1TS on the DDP. I'm really looking forward to this since DH is a big Italian fan (well, we all are really), so I cancelled Chefs.

As a side note... does anyone know how to spell this restaurant's name? The CM pronounced it "tutu", but is it spelled like that? Just wondering!:)

That's a good point. My point was that the prices were in line with another theme park restaurant, not necessarily with what that one person has personally experienced. Thanks for the correction.

Change is almost always met with resistance and condemnation here. :lmao:

I do love good Italian food (especially when i'm in Italy!)...I was a bit disappointed with the menu to be honest...I mean, Lasagna and Spaghetti Bolognese aren't interesting meals really, they are bog standard fare you can get in a cafe in England. I was hoping for a bit more original/regional fare, so many good dishes to choose from in Italy. The selection is quite sparse too but that may change in time.

Of course the only way to know for sure is to go and eat there so at some point i'll have to try it!

But, at those prices perhaps the food is very good and fresh (it better be!). Will be good to hear reviews from all of you on this place as it will be a while before I can make it back to WDW!

No veal parm, (or veal of any sort), no chicken parm, one "fish filet" (of unknown species) on a pizza, no steak of any sort---looks like a very limited menu. Sounds more like a "Pasta Palace" than anything else.
And I've heard they won't accept DDE.

I hope that in the end DDE will be accepted. I remember in the early days of Raglan Road there were mixed reports on that. We can hope that it is either a case of an uninformed server or that the arrangements aren't complete.

Is there any other restaurant in Epcot that doesn't accept DDE?
