Tut Tut - Looks like rain!

DO Not take Knit gloves of any kind!!! They get wet. The winds Cut right throuth them and freezes your hands on the spot.

Wear a thick shirt, a thick Sweat Shirt under your water restaint Coat that is rated for cold weather and Cutting Winds. Wear thick jeans and sox!!! Crocs work but my walking shoes were better.

Kim, I am sorry to read of your fall. That sounded just so painful! That is just horrible! I am glad that you were able to enjoy the rest of your visit, though. Thank goodness! :) Please, do not fall again. :flower3:

Courtney,

I am attempting to contact Madame Leota, to ask for weather prognostications for you. So far, I am having a most difficult time in deed in doing so, for she can be most stubborn when it comes to being spoken to,by us mere mortals. Foolish mortals, is what she especially likes to address us as. I will continue to see about contacting her though. I am hoping that I will find her in a most agreeable mood, otherwise.........she may very well turn me into a little toad, like she did the last time, when she said that she did not wish to be disturbed. Let me tell you, she I most assure you, was not in a joking mood when she made that sentiment known (Shudder) so yes, I should have known better.

Thank you, Gisele! Oh please get a hold of her for me! :worship:

Don't turn into a toad though, I'd be sad. :sad1:

:rotfl:

We will be there on the 4th and 5th and could REALLY use some warmth and sun! I really hope and pray that it doesn't rain.

Oh, and we were there in 1998 when El Nino did horrible things in So Cal. We went to DL on one of the rainiest days ever. The park was a ghost town. The only rides open were Dumbo, so you could fly through the rain and have it hit your face hard, or the Tiki Room so that you good hear a pretent rain storm! Nothing else was open. Everything had flooded out. The restaurant weren't even open. They closed by noon. Horrible!

I was also in WDW during a hurricane....

So, I guess I can handle a little bit of rain, but it would be much more pleasant without it. Please oh please!

Jan 27, 08 Coldest, Rainiest, day at DL. In history.

The Rain was blowing Sideways into the stores!! No amount of clothes, umbrellas, ponchos could keep us dry.
Legs and feet were like you had jumped in an Artic Pool.

Hand were blocks of ice! I ate my Corn Dog with my Magic Gloves[2 pair knit gloves $1.50] it was so cold.

There was No Where to get away from the Wind.

Good Luck! But I would go prepared!!

Local weather (7 day forecast) now says possibitlity of rain on Tues, Wed and Thurs. (T day). High of 67. Just as I was going to post about rain on Wed. and Thurs, they added Tues to the mix. Sorry guys....:umbrella:

ROFL!!! I was there then!!!! But seriously, our Jan 6th weekend trip was worse than the Jan 28th trip. After our Jan 6th trip I came down with pnuemonia!!! :scared1:

Pneumonia! Oh, poor Pixie! That is just horrible and awful. I hate the pneumonia! There are so many different types too! As if just one type would not be bad enough! (Sigh and shudder!) I so hope that you never get that again!

We went last Dec. 3-6, and we are going the same dates this year. Last year it rained on us a few of the days, and honestly--it was just fine. The rain was very light, and the crowds were totally non-existant because of the weather. My girls got to spend a ton of time with Santa and Mrs. Claus because we were the only ones there for a long time! We walked on almost every ride, and got the perfect seat for the parade. It never rained hard enough for it to be a huge issue. The rainstorms in Anaheim are not usually that big--they are often a little light shower, then quickly clearing. It was cool enough to wear a little jacket during the day, but a much warmer coat at night. Perfect hot chocolate weather!:santa:

Don't worry--I am not worried about the rain at all.

i'm assuming they cancel fireworks if it rains but do the cancel fantasmic if it rains?

Yes, they cancel the fireworks, I don't know about F! though. I've never noticed.

I hope so too Gisele, it was nasty!!! I was home sick from work for a full week. I used all of my sick days for the year in 1 week. :(

Actually, I have seen them touch off the Fireworks in the rain.

It looks very, very odd. However, as long as there isn't a strong wind with the rain, and it isn't absolutely pouring, they'll still do it.

Fantasmic!, on the other hand, still goes on, with reduced effects for Safety reasons.

Now, of course, if it's raining cats and dogs, or if it develops into any sort of Electrical Storm (with or without rain), everything will be immediately cancelled.

Yay! I rainy DL trip! Just what I was hoping for! Jackets, Ponchos, and Umbrellas are packed!

Ok then...note to self "go buy a small umbrella, thick socks and gloves for the family". UGH we leave on Tuesday. I have really been looking forward to getting to some warmer weather and a little sun:sad1: Oh well, I can't complain, at least we are going:cool1:

We have snow here right now. I want it to be HOT!!! Although, my idea of hot and your idea of hot is probably totally different. Anything in the low-mid 80's is good enough for me.

No, no, no! I'm tired of hot! No more hot! I'm waiting for the cold weather! Although, our version of cold is no where near your version of cold way up north which i wouldn't like either so I can understand you wanting to go somewhere warm. Just remember that even if it isn't hot, it will still be warmer than Canada. :thumbsup2

Yipee! Accuweather.com as well as another site that I've been checking have updated their weather predictions for the 1st 5 days of December. Accuweather has listed all the days as "sunny" with temps. ranging from 64-71 degrees and NO mention of rain! Let's hope the forecast stays this way!

I bought an umbrella! Woo!

disneyfan4ever54, you're right! I check accuweather right now and they changed their forecast! Yesterday afternoon when I checked it, it said it was going to rain! And now? NO RAIN AT ALL!!!!!!! Just cloudy!!
