Tuskers or Tiffins

I haven't been to Tusker House, but I loved the ROL package at Tiffins. And depending on what you order you can save money with the package, or on the regular DDP you're getting a bonus appetizer that you wouldn't usually get with your meal credits.

Tusker House is my favorite restaurant on property, so that's my vote.

DH and I love Tusker House! We like that there are so many buffet choices to choose from.

Neither! I hated the food at Tusker lunch (nasty, fatty, gristly meat)! Tiffins was mixed...my lunch was OK but DD's shrimp tasted "off". They replaced them with equally bad shrimp so she couldn't chance eating them. No adjustment to our bill either!

I love them both for different things.....we always go to Tusker House, but we did the ROL package for Tiffin's last year and it was DELICIOUS. I got my money's worth out of the ROL package, as my meals were close to the cost of the package, plus what I would have been ok to "pay" for the seat.

Tiffins is one of the few restaurants on site we actually repeat, we haven't eaten at Tusker because I'm not a fan of buffets.

We have really enjoyed both. They are opposite types of experiences. The food has been good at both, though better quality at Tiffins in our experience. For example, the brussels sprouts that came with my dish at Tiffins were so amazing that I really felt there were not enough of them. Brussels Sprouts! If my dinner had only been the Brussels Sprouts I would have been a happy person. I don't normally like them so much anywhere. Everything else at Tiffins was top notch, as well. Tusker House is good too, but it can be a bit loud.

I've been to both. I thought the food at Tusker was meh--not great, but not bad either--but the characters and decor were fun, and as a plus it is only one credit on the dining plan and also less expensive than the Tiffins ROL package if paying out of pocket. I loved the food and atmosphere at Tiffins, but it is such a different kind of experience--elegant fine dining--that it is hard to compare to a character buffet.

How much of a walk is Satu'li Canteen to ROL? That menu appeals to us more than either Tuskers or Tiffins.

I've gone to Tusker House twice and thought the food was pretty good, but the restaurant was so loud, louder than any other I've experienced before. Tiffins was amazing from start to finish and I can't wait to return.

As others have said its highly subjective and depends on what your preference would be. If it were me I would pick a signature restaurant over a buffet any day of the week and Tiffins is among the best. Their food is approachable in that they use more typical proteins but serve them in unique ways with interesting spices. It without question is the best in park dining experience.

That said while I'd pick Tiffins, Tusker House is the one and only character meal that we a. enjoy and b. return to. I find that breakfast is the most forgiving meal for a buffet so that is all we have experience with. Not sure if they offer ROL packages for breakfast but if you are looking to see some characters and eat some good food for lesser price tag than Tiffins its a good bet.
