tusker house isn't mentioned on the boards too often, just wondering what people's experiences have been. is it any good?

Love the character breakfast. It's one of the best! I don't like the dinner buffet. The food is way too ethnic for me. But, if you are adventurous you may enjoy it! Most of the bad reviews I've heard are because people didn't enjoy the exotic flavors. Those who like that sort of thing give it very good reviews.

We ate there for breakfast and lunch. It was probably our favorite breakfast behind Boma, and one of the better lunch buffets also. It has different food on it than most other buffets, but it's not scary like some people make it out to be. Just different, BUT, it also had the normal food too, so it's a win-win!

There is this white rice that I've been trying to find the recipe for but can't. I have no idea what they did to it but I still dream about it. Jasmine rice has never tasted as good as it did on the TH buffet.

The only downside is that it is LOUD. I mean freaking KA-RAZIE loud. Also, some of the tables are really far away from the buffet line. But it's not a big deal, just an observation.

We had lunch and loved it. There was enough ethnic food to make me happy (the hummus is out of this world!!!!) and enough non-ethnic to keep DH happy. He actually ate most of the kid offerings, including making a PBJ sandwich! That just made me laugh that that is what we paid 26 bucks for. However, we really thought it had some good food!

we were there last wednesday for lunch..we just walked in and it was half empty...oh my gosh....it was WONDERFUL!!...food was absolutely delicious! The samosas and chicken curry are to die for!! Both my kids found plenty to eat also...one is 2yrs and the other is 9yrs...they have all sorts of roast meats, taters..rice..the list is endless...and the desserts!!!! mmmmmm the little chocolate cups with raspberry in them are amazing..think I ate about 6 of them..( I know...shame on me)..try a cup of coffee too with your desserts..you can ask and they will bring it...its some kind of African coffee...very very good.
Im so jealous...wish I was going back...

We did Tusker House for lunch in January. We had one of the last lunch seatings. Despite that the buffet was still fresh and well refilled. It was delicious!!!! Our family has both the pickiest and the most adventurous eaters and all of us were satisfied. This was one of our favorites! We are heading back in September and have booked both dinner and breakfast at Tusker House. Can't wait! Give it a try- it's wonderful!!
