Wasn't sure if there was a thread about this on here..and if it is, I sincerely apologize. My DW and I are in the process of planning our meals, well at least Character Breakfasts. What is your opinion of Tusker House for breakfast as opposed to the others? I don't mind the buffet, which with the DP it really doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

We ate breakfast @ Tusker House & Crystal Palace in Oct. In our opinion, TH was much better. Other than those, it's been awhile since we've eaten at the other character buffets.

Thanks..I like your sig by the way..UNC Tarheels :) I'm glad they won last night.

On that note--thanks for the input..We'er still deciding on where to eat but have narrowed it down.

We really enjoyed Tusker House. We're not huge breakfast eaters, but liked the variety and different options they had. They had a wonderful bread pudding with vanilla sauce -- YUM! I liked the breads and pastries, especially. I don't like a lot of typical breakfast foods (eggs, oatmeal, grits) and I found plenty to eat and was very full when we left. Tusker House is on my list of meals to repeat on our next trip.

Part of the reason why we want to eat here is b/c my wife wants to try the character breakfast. I've never experienced a character breakfast before. And the last time I went, the dining plan didn't exist :)

Thanks for the input.

Tusker House was a great breakfast......good food with TONS of choices, characters were great, and it was fun to be in Animal Kingdom before the park opened. We would definitely do it again!

That said, our family's breakfast preference was Ohanas. We loved the atmosphere here, and really enjoyed the family-style buffet (where they bring the food to your table, rather than serving yourself in the buffet lines). The character interaction at Ohanas was also the best of any character meal we had (and we did 5 during our stay). Pluto was freakin' hilarious. :rotfl:

That said, Ohanas had a much more limited variety than Tusker House (just eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and Mickey waffles). Tusker House had everything you can imagine.

It was just a very neat overall experience at Ohanas....from the leis that they gave you when you arrived right down to the fun with Lilo, Stitch, and the rest of the characters. The characters here were "in character" probably the most we saw anywhere on our trip.

Have fun deciding!!!! :flower3:

No kidding! I'm glad they finally decided to show up last game. :sad2: Lets hope that continues.

Speaking of TH, if you go there keep in mind that the only line is for the ham. Most people don't realize that & automatically get in line out of habit. If you don't want carved ham, there's no waiting in line. There's a few stations with duplicate offerings, so just wander around & get what you want.

We really enjoyed Tusker House. We much preferred it to Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare and Hollywood and Vine. But it ran a third place to Cape Mays and Ohana's, but we still loved it, would do it again in a flash on our next trip.

We probably liked the others (Cape Mays and Ohana's) better as we were staying at AKL for 21 nights, so we ate at Boma for breakfast about a dozen times over the three weeks, the breakfast food at Tusker House is very similar (a lot is the same) as Boma, so I think we liked having the change in food at the other two. The food is fabulous but we had a lot of it as we ate TS for breakfast every morning of our trip.

Thanks for the input :) I appreciate it very much.
