Tusker House

Has any one heard the rumor about Tusker House being closed for refurbishing in Sept.? DD read it somewhere, but we were wondering if it is true.

Well, we had a Safari Grand Gathering booked, but I got an email from my TA yesterday that said it has been cancelled due to Tusker House being rehabbed starting 8/20. I'm guessing that Tusker house won't be open at all during our visit. I don't know anything more though.

I think the outside seating will still be avialble just not the inside

I thought I read somewhere (although I can't remember where now) that Tusker House was getting a whole revamping and they were going to change it to a totally different restaurant. Don't quote me on this but I'm 99% sure I read it on some WDW website. I hope not because DBF and myself were looking forward to trying Tusker House when we go down 11/30/07

Yikes, I hope not as its one of our fav CS. Closing it down right before the free dining promo starts, even if its just the seating closing, sounds like a bad idea!

I think they should closer Tusker House forever. Their food is horrible and I would not recommend it at all.

We thought tusker house was nasty as well, the only thing edible was the half chicken..

We loved Tusker House, I guess we will be finding someplace else for our August trip on our AK day.
