Tusker House question

Are breakfast, lunch and dinner at Tusker House all character meals? Is it possible to get a meal there that is non-character? I really want to try it for the food, but my friend and I are going (no kids) and a character meal experience is not really what we want to do. We might go to Boma instead.

I thought only breakfast & lunch were character meals. When we ate dinner there, there were no characters. That was 2 years ago though

You can always just wave the characters on. Or have some fun and join in :) But Boma is a similar but far superior buffet and the wine list is MUCH better.

Dinner is character since March or so.

But I go to Tusker for the FOOD, not for the characters. And when I mention the food, I mean lunch (or dinner since I think it's the same menu). There was nothing Tusker-ish at breakfast, at least not for a vegetarian. It was just breakfast.

I would likely opt for Boma! You can always tell the handlers you prefer not to have the characters come by wave them on but you are paying for the experience. I've heard great things about Boma though. Giving it a shot this year

Boma is so much better than TH that I would recommend it if you don't want a character meal, but would like to experience some similar foods.
