Looking at these two options for our next Spring Break trip. We will be doing DDP, six diners, four "adults", DH, myself, 14 year old mildly adventerous eater, 10 year old less adventerous eater, 8 and 6 year olds on the kids menu that will be fine either place.

DH likes his food plain and boring, although he did like Ohana last time around. I am afraid Yak and Yeti might be too much adventure for everyone although I would love it!

Thoughts?

We really liked Yak and Yeti last week. The appetizers were great - especially the lettuce cups and the wok-fried green beans (think green beans that taste like french fries!).

We are fairly adventurous eaters, but there is regular food at Y & Y too - DS had BBQ ribs.

We have not been to Tusker since it became a buffet.

We did not like Yak n Yeti, nothing special or adventurous there. It's mediocre take-out chinese fare. We've had better fried green beans at TGI Friday's and the noodle dish I had was so bland that I could not eat it.

I would check out the menu and see if any of the dishes would appeal to you.

We like the new Tusker House a lot. We like the setting, the service, the quality of the food, and the variety of food.

But check out the offerings and decide what would be best for you.

We have ADRs for Tusker House in September. We have never eaten there before but I read plenty of reviews on both Tusker House and the Yak and Yeti. Really its a toss up. Reviews for both places are half and half. Its going to really depend of what foods you like and the attitudes of the wait staff at both locations that will influence your experience. I wish you luck! I curious to see what our experience will be.:goodvibes

We just did Y&Y this past Friday night and loved it! Tons of pics and reviews in my signature

Anywhere but Gak&Yucky, I mean Yak & Yeti. It was one of worst meals I have ever had...not just on WDW property, one of the worst period. This was compounded by a waitress whom was so flippant about my food allergy I not only complained to a manager but to Guest Services. Food was mediocre at best, service horrendous, managment was clueless. I for one think Disney should stop "leasing" / "outsourcing" food services.

We thought Yak & Yeti was one of the best meals we had all week. (above Artist Point & Chef de France for sure!)

we scored big time on our trip. we walked up at 11am last monday and got 4:30 ressies for a party of 10 at Yak and Yeti. We ALL LOVED IT. The fried green beans were a HUGE hit with everyone. We all got something different and loved it ALL!

I highly recommend the lo mien noodles, YUMMY!
