Made a Jan. 2 ressie for Boma at 7:30 am (will take cab to AKL to make it there more easily). AK opens at 9 am currently, so we'd have enough time to eat and get there close to 9.
But I do see a Tusker House ressie for 8:05. It might be kind of fun to get into the park early for that.

What would you pick?

PS - My DH loves his breakfasts - he loves Tonga Toast at Kona, but he liked Chef Mickey's better than 1900 Park Fare. My one worry with Boma - he's pretty unadventurous at breakfast - anything "weird" there for pickier eaters?

Normally, I'd say Tusker House - its food is far better overall than Boma's imho - but you're talking about breakfast, where the difference is minimal at best. I think you can't go wrong either decision you make.

We LOVE Boma for breakfast--DH requests it every trip. The bulk of the buffet is traditional American fare. There is a made to order omlette station too. There is one station that is more "exotic." Choose to try it or skip it. Haven't tried Tusker House for breakfast but did not care for it at all for dinner.

We just returned from our trip and ate at Tusker House -- LOVED IT!! We thought it was super delicious. One thing we loved was the big ol' ham at the carving station, it was excellent. Lots and lots of choices. Plus, it's a character meal during breakfast and that was a fun bonus.

We also ate at TH for lunch on another trip and liked it very much then, too.

If you're going to AK on this day, then I would def vote for TH!! You will be right there and ready to go!!

Tusker House has a HUGE selection of food! Its quite good too. I love that place. The characters are wonderful, Daisy is hilarious! Its nice getting an early ressie so your one of the first on the safari ride. I'd highly recommend this!

Honestly I think the breakfast at both is about the same. They both have a few "exotic" things but really its a pretty normal breakfast. AK has characters though so I'd give it the slight edge and it would already put you at the park eliminating excess transpo. So I guess I'm going TH :goodvibes
