Tusker House - Finding Nemo

I recently read that if you make a reservation around 1:00 you get tickets to see Finding Nemo and do not have to wait in line. We are going in August (last two weeks) and was wondering if it was necessary to do this. Tusker House is not on my list of restaurants to go but promised my niece we would see Finding Nemo. What do you think ?? Is it worth the reservation to get into the show ?? Thanks

If you have a reservation for Tusker House between 1:00 pm and 1:40 pm, you can get a priority ticket for the 3:15 pm Finding Nemo show. It's great because you don't have to wait in line to see Finding Nemo. The downside can be the timing. If you have a late ADR and they're running late, you might find yourself having to eat very fast because Finding Nemo is a bit of distance from Tusker House.

We did it once and it was good. We had a 1:05 pm ADR, but were seated late. We did finish lunch without being to rushed and then headed over to see the show. We bypassed the line and got great seats. There is a priority seating area, so you'll sit in that section (it was to the right near the front when we went).

If you want to see Finding Nemo, having the lunch package is a way of knowing that you will get to see it without having to wait in line. However, if you don't like Tusker House or are not normally into large lunches, then it might not be worth it.

I would skip the restaurant if I wasn't in to it and just get in line. It is a large theater. I would get a snack or cool slushie and just wait. But that is my opinion. Since it is August the priority seating might be a good plan, but I would get to the first show and be OUT OF AK by 2:00. It is one of the hottest parks and I just couldn't stay in there from 1-3:30....even for Nemo.

My best answer would be to plan Finding Nemo right off the bat, first show, not worry about a meal---then get a slushie in a special decorative bottle to remember the event and head out to the swimming pool.
