tusker house character breakfast

i just made a reservation for the tusker house character breakfast for november and was curious to what it is like as this will be my first experience at the tusker house.....any input would be greatly appreciated...ie: how's the food. etc....

We loved our 1st rip in Feb and will be returning in December! The only "downside" is that you only get to see Donald in the "photo" line at the entrance. It really was a slow line, and we will make sure to get there even earlier for our ADR next time.

Tusker House is IMO the best character meal on property. The food is AMAZING, don't forget to try the cheese blintzes, they are to die for.

My only advice is this: if your reservation is for before the park opens, or slightly after, get there before 8:30 A.M. Not like, on the bus getting off at the stop "there", at the rope asking to go through for your reservation "there." I've been burned twice in a row with 8:40 a.m reservations and not being able to get through the rope due to the opening show they do at the Animal Kingdom. They won't let anyone through the rope after a certain time until after the little show is over. It causes people to be late for their reservations all the time.

You'll be fine. They'll let you in. The PP is referring to ressies that are close to the time of the opening show. You're earlier than that.

TH is our fav breakfast. The food is good and there's more of a variety than a lot of the others. DH loves the juice they serve there especially!

I agree with the others, it is great. The jungle juice is my favorite. They serve that juice at boma, too.

Yes. Any meal within a park you have to pay park admission for. At the AK, however, you can eat at the Rainforest Cafe without park admission since the entrance isn't technically in the park. You can also get coupons and kids eat free vouchers from restaraunt.com for the Rainforest Cafe and it's partner T-Rex in Downtown Disney.

Very timely thread! We just got an 8:05am ADR for Tusker House Breakfast for our visit in Dec. Will buses be running from Boardwalk to AK at that time of the morning? Also, what time should we plan on getting on the bus to AK?

We loved Tusker House! It was our first time there on our last trip and we've booked again for our Nov trip. The characters were great and the parade around the restaurant was fun. DD 3 wanted to see Daisy Duck and this was the only meal I could find her at. For me, I thought the variety of things at the buffet were great; I loved all of the meats and especially the jungle juice. Yum!
