Tusker House Character Breakfast Help

So this will be new for us (as it is for most people) on our next trip. We love planning character breakfasts in the parks so we can get in early before the parks open. I know the AK usually opens at 8:00 so what time does this CM usually start? Where do you enter if allowed to go in early? Which characters are usually there and what are your experiences with this?

We ate there for breakfast for the first time in March and loved it. The characters are: Donald, Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy in their safari gear. We had an 8a.m. ADR. However that day they had morning EMH so I am not sure what time the restaurant actually started serving. You are going to have a great time at this character meal....the one thing I really liked that none of the other Character buffets ever did was that while we were waiting in line to get our food, a cm would call out about 5 tables and let us know that a character will be at our table any minute. Really saved us from missing characters

We had an 8:30 ADR at Tusker House a few weeks ago and the park was not open yet. They have a spot set up at the entrance where you go and give your name and they check you off a list and then you are allowed in. There are lots of CM's along the way guiding you where to go. We really enjoyed our breakfast there. We got seated right on time, the food was good and the kids loved the maracas parade with the characters. We saw Donald, Mickey, Daisy and Goofy. We would definitely return on our next trip!

LOVE this meal.
We're doing it this upcoming trip.
AK opens at 9 and u can get an ADR as early as 8. We got an 8 AM and it's wonderful b/c you have plenty of time to see characters and eat a GREAT bfast and then you're close to Kilimanjaro safaris b4 the park opens.

Hmmm, this is an interesting thread. I normally wouldn't like doing a char b'fast because it would require getting up even earlier than normal to make a RD, but we always do 3/4 days at AK. So if we started earlier, and stayed until we were whipped, we could go back and totally veg at the resort and be done for the day. Hmmmmmmm. Veddy veddy interesting.
