Has anyone eaten at Tusker House and/or Yak Yaki for dinner recently?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks so much.

We did Y&Y in June and we loved our appies there, plus from where we were seated we had an unobstructed view of the 4pm parade.

We ate at Tusker house right after it reopened and we loved it! There was tons of selections and the food was very good. As a vegetarian, I found a lot to choose from and I enjoyed it all. I even went back for thirds, which is very unusual for me! My picky son also found plenty to eat. It was, of course, expensive, but we found it to be totally worth it.

DH and I ate at Yak & Yeti last April. We both liked it but I would have ordered differently if I had known how big the portions were.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I ate at the Tusker House last January and loved it. The food is similar to Boma if you have eaten there. I haven’t eaten at Yak and Yeti so I can’t comment.

We ate at Yak and Yeti in October and we all loved it. My children said it was the best meal of the entire 10 day trip (which included some signature restaurants!) Definitely go, it was great!:thumbsup2

Y&Y is great! My whole family loved it and they have asked to go again when we go this summer. It was really good! The green bean app was the best!!!!

We ate at Tusker House in September for dinner and I loved it. It seriously was a hidden gem at Animal Kingdom. I much preferred it to Boma.

We ate appetizers at Y&Y in October and it was okay- DH liked the dim sum basket. We went again in December & the service and food were so awful that we will never return. Our waiter brought out our app and meals at the exact same time...then we never saw him again as our dishes piled up and drinks emptied. The dim sum basket was tiny, the glazed chicken was fatty and dry & the rice was gross. We are very easy to please, but the food/service were beyond deplorable for the price we paid.

I have only eaten at Y&Y for lunch but I love the pho. I probably ought to say that I have never eaten there at a table, only at the bar.

You would need to really like spices to enjoy the pho, though. It is heavy on lemongrass and cilantro, and you can add your own chile sauce or chile oil. It contains plenty of shrimp.

I am not crazy about the CS but it is okay.

I ate lunch at Tusker House in October and loved it. I haven't eaten at Yak and Yeti since May, CS, and last December, TS (right after they opened). I wasn't impressed either time there. But a big:thumbsup2 for Tusker House.

Only had lunch at Yak & Yeti but loved it. We had the steak & shrimp and fried wontons for dessert. It was one of our favorite meals and we'll definately be going back. :)

We ate at Yak & Yeti twice on our recent trip. We liked it so much we decided to go back our last day there. If you order something like the Beef & Broccoli you won't get anything more than you would find at a restaurant back home. Go for something a little different. We had a different server both times and both were outstanding.

I had the ribs both time because I was blown away by them the first time - and I'm not even a rib eater. You can eat these with a fork and not get all messy. The first time my husband got the Mahi Mahi, the second time he got the Duck. He LOVED the Mahi Mahi. He said the duck was good but not as good as the Mahi Mahi. I've got pictures of our meals there if you want to see them.

The Lettuce Cups for an appetizer are awesome too!

Yak & Yeti = overpriced food court Asian food.

I would rather eat Chinese from the food court at the mall.

The Yak and Yeti was my most anticipated and most disapointing meal of our last trip. The most disapointing and suprising to me was there was no Indian food on the menu. I had the Maple Tamarind Chicken, it was okay. I was gonna get the crispy honey chicken but our server said they just use the same chicken nuggets they use for the kids meal, afterwards I wished I got it though. I wished they had some curry on the menu, there is not a single place for Indian cuisine in WDW and the Y&Y would be the perfect place to have at least one Indian dish. I did love the Fried Wontons for dessert, absolutely delicious! It's become my second favorite dessert in WDW next to the bananas foster bread pudding at 'Ohana, the fried wontons would be my only reason to go back to Y&Y so if you go make sure you get them.

We ate at Yak and Yeti in October, and DH loved it so much that it was the ONLY restaurant that he asked to go back to on our January trip. He especially loved the steak and shrimp and the green bean appetizer.

Yak and Yeti is our favorite restaurant at Disney. The food is sensational!
