Recently when I was on the phone with WDW Dining setting up my ADR's, I stumbled across the info that the Tuskar House has undergone a big change and is now an elaborate buffet. I was able to make reservations for our last day there, but I am curious if anyone can direct me to a current menu that list what food will be available as well as current prices? I think I was told on the phone, but I did not write it down.

Also, has anyone been to there since its makeover? How was it?

Hmmm...I was told that everything would be of an authentic African flavor...this all looks very average and not entirely interesting...since it opened yesterday, has anyone been that can share an opinion on quality?

We'll have to wait until someone goes and reports back, but I think "African flavor" may not be what the vast majority of visitors would be looking for, so I am not expecting it.

I was sort of hoping they'd have a spread like they had on the sunrise safari brunch, but the posted offerings don't look anything like that. Except that I am not sure what "chicken and fish creations" are.

Definitely waiting to hear about this one. ADR's for breakfast in April.

Toured Tusker House today - didn't eat. We saw the lunch offering. Not overly impressed.

We'll probably try it once but only because of the DDE discount.

But 18.99 for breakfast?? I don't think so.

I miss the old Tusker House already.

It was about 1/3 full at 1:30 on a relatively busy Saturday.

Maybe just me, but I don't understand two higher end (price wise) restaurants opening in a park that most people consider a half day experience, that almost always closes at five, and is often a ghost town of sorts by 4:30.

And oh by the way, Yak and Yeti had about a quarter of their tables filled at 3:30.

I hate eating breakfast out. I have no problem with spending 40 or 50 on dinner, but spending it on breakfast bugs me :confused3

We never ate at TH when is was CS, and will have to wait to see the menu and reviews before we decide, but we would prob try lunch.

You raise a good point though about 2 TS restaurants at AK. (I don't really count RFC, but I guess now there are 3). I wonder if they will keep the restaurants open after the park closes.

We aren't going until January, we should have lots of reviews by then

It looks like we are going to cancel our ADR's for this trip. I don't want to spend that kind of money on an experiment! We will jump over to RFC or hit DDD, no reason not to. I am still looking forward to hearing from someone who has has a taste of the offerings, though. popcorn::
