Turtle Talk worth the time?

DS will be turning 8 during our Jan, 2017 trip. He is not familiar with Nemo (we are still remedying gaps from foster care). Is Turtle Talk worth the time at that age? If there is no previous Crush love? We will be doing my Nemo because I love the aquarium part but I'm unsure about seeing Crush, so any input will be helpful.

LOVE this show!

We see it at least once, every time we set foot in Epcot.
(Multiple times per trip.)

The show is different every time you see it, due to its "improvisational" performance
that is driven by the questions and responses given by little kids (and their "parental units")
in each show.

Well, January 2017 is a long way off. And between now and then, Finding Dory will be coming out, (and will be a huge hit). So maybe you could watch Finding Nemo with him, and then catch Finding Dory when it comes out, and then he will be primed for the Nemo stuff at WDW. Including Turtle Talk. It is not essential that one have seen the movie to enjoy Crush. But it certainly helps. And it is a really clever and well done show for kids of the right age.

We loved it for the technology involved in Crush identifying and talking to the audience members. Ours were about 8 and 10 yrs old at the time and they had seen Finding Nemo but weren't huge fans or anything. It was really cool!! Once was enough for us, but I'd definitely give it a try!!

I haven't seen the movie, and I still enjoy this show.

Turtle Talk with Crush is similar to the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, where there are animated screens but someone behind the scenes is talking directly with audience members. I loved both attractions, but so did my husband (who is not as big a Disney fan as I am). Crush plays off the kids really well, but slides in jokes that the adults find funny as well. With both attractions, I don't think one needs to have seen either movie. They are just fun!

Definitely worth going to the show. It is really fun and a great break from the heat regardless if someone has or hasn't seen the movie.

We love it, but my family loves the whole Seas pavilion. No need to particularly love Crush first, though I think a few of his catch-phrases are funnier when you're familiar with them already then hear them applied to you. It's not "unmissable" but if you have time in the area, it's most definitely worth watching.

I'd say go for it. Crush turtle was on our Disney Fantasy cruise and we were lucky enough to get the table that Crush talked to us. It was soooo cool for the kids and myself to be able to talk with crush.

Do not miss! It is just awesome. One of our favorites, whether you know the characters or not. Knowing them adds to it, but is definitely not key to it

Awesome show and yes it's different every time. I've never seen Nemo all the way through and neither has DS. He's 12 and we still enjoy it.

I echo what others have said - mine are 11 and 9 and think it's "totally awesome" - plus it's a big park so it's a nice break. Also, my kids love the interactive displays in the waiting area - they have quizzes about marine animals and such... I also agree there's some time for your DS to become a Nemo/Crush fan before your trip!
