So I am going with my brother, his girlfriend, their son and her brother to Disney Thanksgiving week.
They have already made the reservation for themselve excluding her brother and myself. I wasn't able to give them money up front and they weren't able to pay for my portion of it. And the other brother isn't paid for yet either.
And I thought, no big deal I'll pay for the tickets myself once I have the money.
Then I realized that the tickets my brother will be getting will be the room key and their proof to attend extra magic hours. And mine nor the other brothers will be.
So basically, does anyone know how I can fix this?
Don't worry, I'll end up calling Disney soon, but I just wanted to see if anyone else here had exprienced this before and knew what to do.
Thanks so much!

I'm not sure if I am missing something here, but why not call and add you to the reservation? They will give room keys to all of you at check in. Do you plan NOT to be added to the reservation? If you don't you will not get a room key.

I am confused myself; it sounds like they are staying off-site or something and they are wondering if they can somehow get a KTTW card that shows they are on-site at the same place their brother and his family are staying?????

So, at the moment, you and her brother are not listed on a hotel reservation?

That's the first thing you need to take care of. You will need to buy tickets, of course, but tickets aren't what determines whether or not you get into EMH - you need to be a registered guest at a Disney resort. You won't get a resort ID unless your name is on a reservation for a Disney resort, and you won't be able to get into EMH unless you have a resort ID. If you were planning to use DME, you'll need to be on the reservation for that, too.

You'll either need to be added to their reservation, or make a separate reservation for yourself. The resort rooms have occupancy limits, so they can only add you to their reservation if it doesn't put them over the limit. If they purchased a package with tickets and/or dining, you'll need to get that same package if you're being added to their reservation.

FYI If you get added to your brother's reservation there will be an addtional charge per each adult for each night added. I don't remember how much it is. Ever since my sons turned 18 we now stay at OKW or the BWV as they do not charge for extra adults in the Villas. The extra charge per adult bring the ocst of a deluxe room more than that of a studio villa.

We are all staying on property at All-Star Movies. I was not able to give them money for my portion of the trip up front, so I was going to buy tickets separately. I will be staying in the room with them. As is the other brother, who has the same situation as me. So thats four adults and one two year old. It isn't over the occupancy, I believe.
Is there a fee to get me added to the reservation? They have a dinning plan as well, and looking at the places they want to go, it would probably be benefitial to me to be added to that list.
I apologize for being unclear. Thanks for all the help so far. :o)

If they have the dining plan then they have a package. Everyone in the room needs to have the same thing. I would have the two of you added to the reservation and everyone get 1 day park tickets. When you get to the resort then you can upgrade the tickets.

If he is on one of the specials that require a certain number of tickets then you would need to have the same thing if you want your tickets on your key card and to be on the reservation.

No worries -- you've come to the right place.

You are not over the occupancy limit with 4 adults and a 2 yo, but you will have to pay the extra adult charge per night for 2 of the adults. There is no other charge to have your names added to the reservation

However, all of the people staying in the same room must be on the same package ie. Magic Your Way package plus dining in this case. Only the 2 yo can opt out.

You didn't say when your trip was, so I can't tell you if it's too late to make all of these changes. But if it's not, and if it was booked before the most recent specials came out, you should also look into whether you can take advantage of those specials for your trip -- there is no cost to change the reservation if there is at least 45 days before your trip.

Oh bummer. It is less than 45 days, we arrive 11/23.
We didn't realize this until reccently, but I hope it isn't too much of a charge.
Thanks!

I am not sure, but I think it is 25 dollars a night for each adult extra (over 2) For that 50 bucks, you can probably add a few more bucks and get another room!

WE have added others to our reservation within the 45 day timeframe. Are you talking about the fee to change reservations? If so, Disney doesn't charge to add someone (except for the extra adult charge). Of course the tickets and dining are extra (unless it's free dining)

The extra person charge for adults varies for each type of hotel. Values cost an extra $10 pp, Moderates $15 pp, and Deluxe $25 pp. This cost is for adults only.

When you're upgrading your reservation (i.e., paying Disney more money), they waive the change fee. So you and the brother will just owe the $10/person/night extra-adult fee and the cost of the tickets and dining.

OP is ME a concern as well? That might be something to think about as well if your brother, girlfriend and his son will be using.
