For our upcoming trip I have been having my son save spare change in his bank with the idea that we could turn that change into Disney gift cards at one of those kiosks that you see in stores. From what I understand you get the full value of your change if you choose a gift card instead of cash, but in my initial searches I haven't been able to find any that have Disney gift cards (at least for the Coin star ones around me). Has anyone found a way to do this (besides rolling up the change manually)?

I agree with PP. My bank will count the change and either deposit or cash it. Then I take the money and buy Disney gift cards at the grocery store to get my fuel points or you could buy them at Target with the REd Card discount.

Even if you can't find one that offered Disney cards simply get a card you know you will use say for gas or grocery's. Since you will already have to buy either gas or grocery take the actually cash you would have spent and use it to buy a Disney card.

Just a hint about the machines...separate the silver coins out and roll those yourself. Not much time and no chance of fees. Due the pennies in the machine

I have been taking all our change every payday since Last oct and feeding the self check out machines for Disney gc.

Its actually fun. :upsidedow

The first time it was almost $50 in loose change and yes it does take a while but my dd11 loves doing it.

We go to Giant Eagle grocery store. The machine hasn't been incorrect yet but you do have to feed it one coin at a time.

I just get the Amazon GC, and then take the money I would have spent at Amazon anyway, and put that toward my trip account.

They used to have Disney.com gift cards in the coinstar, but those were only good on the Disney store's website, not for parks/resorts, etc.

I get Starbucks GC's from the machine. Since they are in Disney now I figured it would be a good way to get some drinks and snacks.

Once I have enough for starbucks I will probably go back to rolling it and taking it to the bank.
