Our family will be taking a trip to WDW in May 2006. My son will be turning 3 during the trip. How does this effect the entry fee we paid at the beginning of the trip? Under 3 is currently free? We plan on a package trip .

I think you'll be fine - but you should definitely call DW customer service and inquire to make sure you have no surprises!!! Make sure the hotel knows ahead of time so you can get a surprise cake in the room!

As long as your child is 3 on the 1st day of your trip you will not have to pay for him.

My son was not quite 3 when I booked my upcoming January trip back in October. He turned 3 November 8th and the Disney people ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to sell me a ticket for him until he actually turned 3. It was the most ridiculous thing ever!!! I finally requested one CM ask her manager and she came back and told me if I kept my mouth shut I could save some money. (I did end up buying him a ticket.) Anyway, your ticket price definitely goes by the child's age at the beginning of the trip. Judging from how much trouble I went through to get my THREE-yr-old a ticket, you should have NO problems!!! In my case I would have felt like a cheat, but in your case it is TOTALLY legitimate to not buy a ticket.

There will be no questions about his age from any CM. Make sure to get the "It's my birthday" pin at the park too. I saw kids with these when we were there in November and the CM's always at least said Happy Birthday but some did some other little things too that will make it extra special for the littel one.
