Turning 3 during trip..need to pay or not pay for a children's pass?

We will be arriving 2 days nefore my daughter's 3rd bday..technicaly she is 2 when we arrive & start using our passes to the parks. Does she need a pass for part of the trip when she turns 3? Need help on this one...Thanks!

I belive Disney is all about the check in date. So your daughter probably would be fine. I know that for discounts and such if you check in on value season and it ends the next day your whole stay is charged as value season.

No, you won't need a park pass for your daughter. Disney will consider her 2 for your entire trip if she turns 3 during the trip.

We have the same exact situation. Our son will turn three a few days after we arrive. I am pretty sure that the policy is that if you are two when you check in you are considered to be two for the length of your stay. Hope your daughter has a wonderful third birthday in WDW! I had my third b-day at the Hoopdey Doo. We will take our son there also for his third b-day dinner in Oct. '04!

There was a thread about this a few months ago and someone emailed Disney and was told that all they care about is the check in date, so if you daughter was 2 while checking in then she is considered 2 for the whole trip, the same is true for youth not needing an adult ticket if they had a birthday during the trip

Welcome to the Dis Jan. From everything I understand Disney considers your child to be the age they were when you got there. Hope she has a magical birthday.

Welcome to the DIS!
We have that exact same situation 2 years ago.
We were told that my DS would NOT need a ticket-it is the age at check in.
We even had his 3rd birthday party there!
Have a GREAT trip!
