Turning 3 at WDW?

My niece will be turning three on her last day at WDW. Since we are celebrating this at CRT, everyone will know it's her birthday. My sister is very worried about finding her a one-day child's park-hopper ticket to make sure everything stays legal-especially since we'll be making a big fuss about it. We are planning to go to EPCOT after the CRT breakfast, hence the need for a hopper. Does any ticket place even sell such a thing? I've got several trips worth of experience, but this isn't something I've dealt with before and don't know what to tell her. I'm sorry if this gets asked a lot, but I couldn't find the info I wanted by doing a search.

My understanding is if they turn 3 while you are there, you "legally" don't need a ticket per Disney.

Ya, Disney doesn't penalize a kid for getting older.

Same goes for a kid turning 10, if they already have a Child ticket they will not need to pay the difference to switch to an Adult ticket.

If CM's know a child is having a 3'rd birthday while at WDW they will wish him/her Happy Birthday but will not require that s/he obtain a park pass and will not assess any additional per person room charges for the rest of the stay.

Thanks! As our soon-to-be three year-old is the youngest of four kids, my sister will be glad for the last chance to visit without having to buy tickets for the entire crew. Come to think of it, that will probably be true for us too. Our "baby" will turn 2 just before we leave for this WDW trip.

But what about the restaurants? Will they charge at a buffet for the now 3 year old?

I think they will charge for meals if the child has just turned 3.
