Turning 18 while onboard

My daughter will turn 18 on the second day of our cruise. Has anyone had a child turn 18 that can share their experience? Where you able to book Palo or Remy for them after they turned 18 if they were 17 at the start of the cruise? I'm wondering if it will even be an option in the system. Also, did you have to go to guest services to get a new card or did DCL provide you one in your room? I understand that she will no longer be able to go into Vibe once she turns 18 but she is looking forward to enjoying the adult areas of the ship.

She might also be interested in the 1821 Society. I doubt that they'll exclude her for being one day short of 18 at the start.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to pre-book anything 18+, but you should be able to get some things like adult dining once onboard. If there are only the 2 of you in your party, you could probably book adult dining for yourself in advance and then once onboard ask to add her.

You can try booking your daughter into Palo and Remy in advance, but I would guess her name will not show up in the drop down menu for adult dining. As lanejudy suggested, you could book yourself and then add her once onboard.

For the 1821 Society, the first meeting may be an Adult area, but if it isn’t, she could attend. Otherwise she would need to wait a day.

You'll want to stop by guest services and get her a new KTTW card on her birthday so she can participate in the 18+ activities.

My daughter is also turning 18 on the second day of our cruise and this is what my TA told me to do. Book Palo for me, add her once on board.
