Turning 12 Birthday Ideas

I am looking for ideas to celebrate my sons 12th birthday.

We have reservations for 3/27 thru 4/2 staying at Port Orleans. My sons birthday in on 3/29. There are 5 of us in our immediate family (mom, dad, son 12, daughter 9 and daugter 5). My brother-in-laws family is going as well (mom,dad, daughter 14, daughter 10).

The trip will be a big surprise to the kids. We havn't told the kids that we are going to dw yet...we will be picking them up from school on Friday and leaving...we will tell them when they get in the car (18 hour drive).

I am looking for something different to do to surprise my son on his birthday. He is turning 12 so I need to find something that won't be too un-cool to him.

Please share any ideas, I would like to make it special for him.

We did pirates league for my DDs 12th in Dec and she LOVED it.

How about a day at DisneyQuest? My ds turned 12 in January, so I feel your pain. It is so hard to balance -- they want to grow up, but they also don't! My ds would be delighted with a gift card he could use anyway he liked, but that's just my guy...he'd find star wars goodies in Once Upon a Toy and Celtics stuff at Team Mickey...
