Turned Down BWV AddOn Thru Disney

After having been on a waitlist for a year for an addon at BWV, I received a call yesterday from my guide offering me more points. Since I am closing soon on a good-sized addon at BCV, I had to turn down the BWV. My use year is September, so I hope the points go to a fellow DISer who was waiting behind me on "the list!"

I think I was the next person behind you because my guide called me yesterday and said I was second in line and I also have a Sept. use year. We are actually going to buy 30 bwv points even though we just added 100 points at bcv last month. These points are just so addictive!!

Hey. I am on that Sept waitlist too. Congrats on the offers.
I am waiting patiently too. I was told by my guide that I was number 5 on the list. I can count 3 folks on the DIS now that have been offered them, so it may be soon.

JC. How many points did he offer you? Did you buy them all?

I was told that there were 186 available and I'm only buying 30 so there may be points available if your #5 on the list. I guess it all depends on #'s 3, 4. Good luck!!

Just got off the phone with my guide. He stated that a person who works in the office handles add ons is out and he does not know if any Sept BWV use year points are being offered to anyone. I mentioned that I saw that it was on these boards and he stated that this board is full of mis information and un truths. I told him that the information here is much more reliable than offered by Disney.

Anyway he said he would call back when the office person is in.

LOL, lampy. There IS misinformation on these boards (I should know. Have provided some of it myself, but NOT intentionally). After you spend some time on the boards, though, you get a good feel for what is fact vs misinformation. FWIW, Disney CMs and DVC guides hand out lots of misinformation themselves. I'm remembering the posters who reported DVC guides said that the pullout sofas in the dedicated BCV second bedrooms were NOT being replaced.

However, I would never say that someone who said they purchased add on DVC points directly from Disney was providing "misinformation". What possible motive would a long time poster have for doing that? I think your DVC Guide was just busy or having a bad day and didn't want another thing on the "to do" list. Bet he apologizes when he calls back.
