ive read in the past that if a park is filled to its limit they will turn you away from entering. how often does this happen?

im trying to plan my days for my vacation in june and this is what i have, (i only have 3 full days so i want to get the best out of my days) and i dont want to get to MK on my last day and have them turn me away because im saving the wishes show till the night before i leave. so heres my schedule: any tips?

June 6th:
AK in the morning and lunch at rainforest

head over to epcot for EMH around 3 or 4

June 7th:
MK in the morning
and head over to mgm for EMH and first time at fantasmic

June 8th:
Epcot in the morning
Then MK for the evening.

None of these plans are set in stone so any help would be great! Thanks!

First, turing people away is extremely rare. I don't think I've ever heard of it happening in June.

Second, if you're talking about EMH then I'm assuming you're staying on-site. in which case you wouldn't have to worry about it anyway as they give priority to resort guests

No need to worry...the only time the MK closes due to capacity is on New Year's Eve, Christmas, or July 4. And even then, it doesn't happen every year.

Enjoy!

We have been to WDW three times in June and they have never come close to closing the MK or any park. We were there last June 15-23. It was crowded but not bad. By getting to all the parks before opening (EMH or regular) we were able to get a lot done before the big crowds arrived later in the morning. Of course, Fast Passes are also a big help. Everything got really crowded around the 21st. I guess the rest of the schools around the country closed at that time and it increased the crowd levels at all the WDW parks.
We found the evening EMH not worth it last June. I understand that during quiet times it is really great. Last June the evening EMH crowds were sometimes bigger than during the day.

There won't be any problems with turning people away in June. July 4th is probably the only day in the summer where the crowds are really bad.

We were there one Easter Sunday and they would not even let people staying on site into the MK. If it is that crowded, I dont want to be there anyway! It was so crowded you could not move. They finally herded us out of the park through the back of the buildings (off stage).

Most years it seems they reach capacity at Easter. But if you are staying on site you should be fine. I've never heard of the parks closing outside of a major holiday. I live in FL and when Disney closes it's usually mentioned on the news.

We were at MK on Christmas Day this year, and the only problem was the result of a power outage. Crowds were large during the afternoon, but the park didn't close due to numbers.

We were there one year when the car race was taking place. On the loudspeaker it was announced that no more people were being allowed into the park(MK). I had never heard of that happening. It was no problem for us as we were already in the park. This was in late January. I guess it can happen any time of year if there is a special event. Needless to say, we never go when the car race is taking place.

I have got a friend that works for Disney and he made a mention to me about this very thing a couple of weeks ago. He said in his 13 year career with the company, they only have had to close the gates twice. Odds are on your side that it is not going to happen while you are there.

This typically happens over very busy holidays, new years, christmas, 4th july, etc. I think you will be fine mid june.

It's rare and you can guaranty you will get in by being there for park opening. I have never heard of it closing before 10:00.

But as others have said, you do not want to be there anyway when it is filled to capacity. It is like the mall a couple days before Christmas.

It happened to us once when we were staying off site. It was October, and I have no idea what was going on. But we didn't arrive until 2, and they were turning people away because they said the parking lot was full.

But you are staying on site so you won't have to worry about that!

This year on NYE MK was closed by 11am, EPCOT was open but crowded.

I would not worry about June.

We entered in MK after 11am this year on NYE -- closer to noon - coming from a resort bus.

Resort bus or AP was the only way in within that time frame. All off site guests were turned away. All of the sign boards on World Drive were stating that MK was closed.

I was speaking to a resort guest at EPCOT about 12:30 and he was coming from MK as it was at capacity and there were no guests being admited when he was there.
