Hello all,

I am busily planning my next trip to Disney. I will be staying at the CBR. Can you request turndown service at a moderate resort? I automatically got it during my last visit, but I was staying at the Poly (concierge). It was really nice to return to our room in the afternoon to see all the new towel animals and cute stuff they did with the sunglasses, stuffed animals, and anything else I had laying around the room! This will be my first time staying at the CBR and any tips to make my stay more enjoyable would be great.

Thanks CR.....I was hoping, but it is better to know now and not be disappointed later.

Take care.

While you won't get turndown service at the moderates, you sometimes will get a towel animal, and/or cute posing of your stuffed animals, by the housekeepers. Just try not to expect anything, and then if you do get a towel animal, consider it icing on the cake :) Have a great trip! :sunny:

Thanks SeaSpray! I am so nervous about staying at the Caribbean Beach. My first onsite stay was at the Poly and they set the bar really high. Before that I had a balcony room on the Disney Magic. I am trying to keep an open mind with my decision to stay at a moderate. I am sure I will have a great stay.....but the Poly Concierge-level is a tuff comparison to the CBR

That maybe true but if I were to ever downgrade to a Value or Moderate Resort after staying Deluxe, I would rather to do that then stay off site. While it will be a change for you staying at the Caribbean Beach after staying at the Polynesian, at least your still on WDW property and will get all the same benefits that onsite guests can get. The only difference is your going from Deluxe service to Moderate service.

Hi CR,

My original reservation was for the comtemporary, but due to financial constraints I was forced to downgrade to a moderate. But you are right....it is far better than staying offsite. I would much rather stay in a moderate onsite than stay offsite......Not being totally part of the magic is not an option!

Hi :)

I agree, ANY resort is a tough act to follow after staying at the Polynesian, in the Hawaii concierge building :sunny:

However, just last month I stayed at POR for the very first time and really, really liked the resort. I liked it much more than I had thought I would.

I've stayed at CBR twice (my first two on-site trips) and it is a beautiful, fun, tropical resort. Keep an open mind, and I think you'll like it too :sunny:

We're going to the Beach Club in November, and I made sure I planned that trip after our August trip to CBR because while I LOVED CBR on our honeymoon and love the theme, I'm afraid I might be spoiled after staying at the BC.

CSR used to offer turn down service when it first opened but is was one of the things eliminated back when the bus to the BW was eliminated too.
