What exactly is it? who gets it?

we will be staying at PPH in June just in a standard room. Would they do any of this for us? I also mentioned to them we are celebrating my daughter's high school graduation, my son's elementary school graduation and my other son's 9th birthday. All of these events happening on June 10th! That is going to be a busy day. She had mentioned maybe balloons in the room. do they really do that?

Turndown service is with concierge and/or suites. Not with standard rooms.

That's quite a lot of things happening on the 10th! I'm not sure they will put balloons in the room, but make sure you mention all those things at checkin, and they might give some extra congrats.

I think, now that the Give A Day promo is over (you can't sign up for it anymore), they have gone back to the Celebrate promo, so they should have Celebrate buttons for everyone, and that's fun. :)

Turn down service is when they turn down the covers on your bed in the evening and put chocolate coins on your night stand. It is only offerred to PPH & DLH concierge guests and all guests at GCH.

I know you can have them mark your reservation that you are celebrating all those things. I don't think they can leave things in your room before check-in. We've usually been given the balloons at check in or we receive a phone call once we're in our room saying there's a package at the front desk. I know we've used vacation planning and have also received autographed photos for the kids. Since these are free, sometimes we get them other times we don't.

If you want to ensure ballons and other items, you can order them through vacation planning.

We got turn-down service at the DLH in December, with the chocolates. We had a standard, pool-view room.

I know when I mentioned DD's birthday, the lady mentioned balloons/gift packages, but it definitely wasn't going to be free. Not sure if the CM might have been offering balloons as an option for you to purchase, but it would be fun if they surprised you with it!

We stayed at the DLH in Feb. Refurbed standard view room on the second floor and we did get turn town service every day of our six day stay. If we were already in the room ,housekkeping would ask if we needed anything and then asked if we would like chocolate. Oh yeah... Disney chocolate coins.Sweeeet!

We also got turn down service everynight we stayed at the GCH last August. MY DGF still has a number of those chocolate coins. We had a DTD view room.

I guess I didn't realize turn down was offerred to all DLH guests. Our last 2 stays in 2007 & 2009 were concierge so I thought it was part of it. When we stayed in a standard room there in 2006, we did not get turn down service. So does anyone with recent PPH experience know if everyone gets turn down service?

I was confused about this as well. We stayed at DLH in Oct and did NOT get it but then I stayed in a standard room at PPH in Feb and DID get it however we told them it was my mom's birthday and they came out and gave her a small balloon bouquet at check in and then we got a dish with two mickey head rice krispy treats by our door and then the maids made up a cute little birthday cake out of washclothes and ribbons and they put a card that said happy birthday with a pic of Mickey and Minnie and a coupon for a free photo pass pic.

Then as I said we got the turn down with the choc coins every night of our stay. So I will be curious what we get in June when we stay at GCH in a standard room????
