Yep, it's true, we just came from there. Actually, they have been an unusual bargain for several years, so I'm not surprised they're more in line with other food prices now. IMHO though, they are more worth the $$ than a lot of the other comparable food prices, especially snacks. That is one more huge turkey leg, and very good too. My DH and I happily eat one together - and that's the only meal I'll share :lmao:

Hey there!

Hope you had a "MAGICAL" time! I dunno though, when my DH and went to WDW in 2004 I believe they were $4.50. Ten bucks for a turkey leg really sounds high. But you are right, everything food wise has skyrocketed at WDW in the last 2 years. Thanks for your reply! :)

They're so big one is enough for our family of 3 so I think they're still a bargain! It's about the only time $10 will cover a meal for all of us at DW. :goodvibes

was 3.95 at a cart in epcot....last one was last Feb and it was 8.95....guess now I'll have to get more Disney Dollars to pay for them!

Hugs to you Michelle!

We had a wonderful time, thanks, and you're just about right, price wise, on the turkey leg in '04. In fact about three years ago it was still about $6.59, but has just jumped a lot in price. It is one "big juicy hunk" of meat though :thumbsup2 If you have a trip in the works, have a wonderful time :goodvibes

Boy am I glad that I don't like those legs! DH does, but he gets them 3 for $5. We do an event over Labor Day weekend & DH buys them at closing. I have two in the freezer now!;)

Hey there! :)

Boy how times have changed right? I remember BOMA was $25.99 now I think it's close to $36.00! LOL!

Hope you're doing well.

Here's the sign from Trilo-Bites in AK last Oct.

Allears still shows it at this price in Jan. 2012 but it may have gone up since then.

Anyway, at close to $10 its a pretty good use of a CS credit when you add chips and a drink. You're looking at around $15-$16 for a meal (but the leg is definitely shareable.

Thank you! :sad2:

I always have thought that these look nicer than they taste. Anyone else think this?

There may be other market forces in play.

I think, but I'm not sure, turkey prices have been rising, also as the legs became more popular they got more expensive and not just for carrying around an amusement park. They are probably used for all the Turkey loaf and ground turkey that the Biggest loser pushes every week. :thumbsup2

Kind of like how before that winter night in Buffalo they couldn't give away chicken wings. Now look where they are.

HI! My DH loves them. I find them kind of gristely. I only take a few piece of meat out and he eats the rest. :)

Yea, we had a turkey leg years ago after hearing all the hype about them. My husband did not like it. I liked it well enough, but it's too big for me to eat myself. But you are right, they look better than they taste.

Favorite turkey leg moment:

MK headed to BTM / SM... BIG guy standing right in the middle of "traffic" flowing around him with a turkey leg in each handing looking around like he has completely lost the rest of his travel party. Shrugs his shoulders and takes a bite out of one of the turkey legs. I'm betting the rest of the travel party better have found him or he was downing both of those legs right there! ;)

$9.75!!!!!!! ???

They would have to pay me TEN TIMES more than that to get me to eat one!

(Ohhhhhhh, you mean that's what YOU paid them. I see, sorry.)

eating them! I had my first at a rennisance festival many years before my first one at Disney. My wife had never had one before Disney and now that she has figured out how to eat them....she can destroy one!!

That was funny! I'm from the Buffalo area and was around for that "winter night" and yep, we have made wings very popular and the best around! :rotfl2:
