Let's here some suggestions for Turkey day in the parks for a group of 8-12 people. When should we make the PS,when we decide?

All the people on the boards, and I cannot generate a response from 1 person! Has anyone had meals in the parks on Turkey day? and did they like what they chose for a place?

LTT in the MK. It is a character meal that serves a traditional thanksgiving meal. The food is awsome and the character are great too. Make the PS at 90 days as it will fill up fast.

Hi dsp2,

We are a group of 9 going Thanksgiving week too. There are lots of options for Thanksgiving dinner. Here is Deb Wills site for Thanksgiving 2003 http://allearsnet.com/menu/men_thks.htm Most restaraunts appear to offer Turkey Dinner. We haven't decided yet what our plans will be. LTT is a great choice as Jordans MOM pointed out. We ate there for MNSSHP. But I think the MK will be crowded and I don't know if we want to fight crowds. I am leaning toward 1900 Park Fare. But I have a month to decide, and then I'll be calling Disney Dinning!

See you there!

We also have a group of 9 going during Thanksgiving. Right now I am leaning towards 1900 Park Fair and Chef Mickey's.

Three years ago we ate at Artists Point and didn't care for the food at all.

Thanks for the input, I am leaning towards LTT. I will go over some options with our friends and make a PS soon.

Thanks again!

Our Thanksgiving meal was at Cape May last year. It was WONDERFUL!! There were 10 of us and we were all very happy with our food and service.

just wondering if the buffet restuarants. like chef mickey's, serve only traditional turkey dinner on thanksgiving? in other words, do they also have their usual fare on the buffet as well?

thanks!

We have done 5 Thanksgivings at WDW. Call exactly 90 days out. The reservations fill up fast. This is what we have done.

1st - LTT - The food was their usual fare and nothing special was done for Thanksgiving. I will admit now that I am not a fan. For some reason the marinade on the steak makes me sick for days. But the real problem was going into MK on Thanksgiving day. We are lucky and spend the week there and Thanksgiving day is wall to wall people. We walked out of dinner into the pre-parade line up and I thought my husband who hates crowds was going to faint. You could not move without pushing past people's shoulders. Keep that in mind when you choose.

2nd year - The Polynesian Review - we had a great time but once was enough. We will have to go back sometime soon since they changed the show.

3rd year - Boma at AKL - (yes, we were doing a multicultural theme), It was great. I scheduled dinner for around 8 and we went early to look at the animals at sunset. Definitely a lot of fun.

4th year - Artist Point - we had never eaten there and really liked it . It was just fancy enough to make it seem special to me. The food was great.

5th year - Le Cellier in Canada - we are Creme Brule fans and we had heard about thier pumpkin creme brule the year before. They had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We had reservations at 7 pm and got the last 4 pumpkin creme brules so I will rethink my dessert strategy. Our server was fantastic.

My DD is now 17 and my DS will be 15 by Thanksgiving and we are considering the buffet at the Dolphin (from Deb Will's site). We can have a buffet dinner and 17 characters at a site next to BWV where we stay.

Maybe this will help in your decision::MickeyMo

We had party of 8 approx. 4 years ago and had Thanksgiving dinner at Ohanas - it was great. Food here is served "family style", so it was just like being at home with the family. Since you have such a large party you would have your own table and would not be with another party. Food is brought out in large bowls and replenished as needed. We really enjoyed this meal. (By the way, the "normal" Ohanas menu is not served on this day - it is traditional Thanksgiving fare - it was that year, anyway.)
