It was so exciting seeing DH and the boys' faces last night when I showed them what stateroom we were assigned and that we got an outside room with a porthole. We were trying to explain the difference in 30 sq ft to our 9 yr old.

I've been trying to access my WDW reservations all day and can't seem to access them. I was hoping to go over dining reservations. GRRRRRR. Makes me a bit nervous.

Hey! What about that Disney film "Earth" or something like that. Has it been released? Do you think they might play it on board? My kids would love to see it!

I'd like to see it too! I hadn't thought of that one. Good luck with your WDW res. I only have one ADR for the Friday morning before the cruise -- right now scheduled for Chef Mickey's for breakfast - if my aunt, uncle, and cousin want to meet us there. Otherwise, we'll be driving out where they live -- Winter Springs??

It is a sideways room WAY in the front. We have never been in the front or sideways. Sounds like fun!

It's been a short while since I've posted, but Rob has been keeping me updated.

I'm getting so excited! It'll be great to see everyone who sailed Thanksgiving 07 and 05 (welcome back again Charlie, can't wait to meet your new wife!)

I have to ask...is anyone planning on re-booking while on-board again? We definitely are, BUT...not for Thanksgiving. We want to get back to sailing during warmer weather, and are looking to March 2011 for spring break. (I'm so much going to miss the Magic, not being in the Caribbean that summer.) Can't wait for the Disney Dream (just hurry up w/the 7-day Caribbean summer itineraries, please.)

LisaD - you should like those rooms - we had 6639 - which is the starboard clone of your room on our very first cruise. The location is convenient and it is generally a quiet part of the ship.

I think we probably will, but I'm not sure which cruise. We already have a deposit on the Alaska trip, so I think it would have to be a short one. I was thinking possibly the pre-Christmas 4 nighter in 2010. I think it will depend on the Dream and pricing.

Can't wait to hear how it goes. I always smile when I think about surprising our boys with their WDW trip last October. Make sure you video-tape it -- it is priceless!

Hi Everyone!
Just checking in & saying that we are excited to meet everyone soon. This will be DexH's first cruise (mine and DD's 13th and 12th respectively) so I am curious to see what his reactions will be. In either case, I won't care as long as he doesn't impede MY having a good time

I'm wondering now what to pack in terms of clothes. I know that I should know this being a Florida resident but today it is 95 with a heat index of 102 and by November it could be "freezing" (in my estimation.) I started a list last night that included "sweatsuit & sweatpants, fleece jacket, etc" and then started laughing. Guess I will have to wait until closer in to assess the weather outlook!

Good morning all.....I'm just checking in to move our link to the first page!! I didn't like having to search for it! I can't believe it's now only 6 weeks away! My husband is finding out that he may not be able to go. He keeps telling my mom to get her passport just in case. I have read and been told that if it's a close loop cruise, you don't have to have a passport. You can use a certified copy of your birth certificate but you run the risk of not being able to fly home if you needed to. My boys just have the passport cards so they couldn't fly home anyway. I hate to have to pursue a passport or passport card this close. What is everyone's opinions on using the birth certificate?

If you are using a passport make sure you are boarde before the ship leaves any of the ports

Call DCL and make sure a passport is acceptable is my first suggstion.
