Turkey Day Gang 2009

Hey all,

I forgot if the kids are under a certain age then you have to fax in a registration waiver for them. Wendy just reminded me.

I had our TA make sure that our CC numbers were in our reservation just so we would be OK. Hope everything works out OK Wendy.

I agree...is it midnight yet? And to think, I used to be able to stay up all night without a problem....

Karen

What a mess !!!

DCL website will not let my reservations open. We booked this cruise on the boat in November and called and added CC numbers several weeks later.

Looks like I will be on the phone all weekend.

I hope everyone is able to get what they want.

Thanks

The DCL website is working!!!:wave2: We were able to book Palo brunch (1st sea day) and Palo dinner (Wednesday night) as well as the 12 meter regatta in st. maartin. We hope that everyone else was able to book what they wanted. Also, for the newbies. Do not worry about waiting until the 75 day mark to book. There have been times that we have not booked Palo until after boarding the ship and we have gotten great dates and times!! :thumbsup2 They only release a certain portion of tables on line.

Good night all!!!

Lisa

What time for Palo brunch? We booked 1100!

Oh Wendy, I'm so sorry! That stinks!

We booked Palo for the 4th night at 8. We also booked Magen's Bay on St. Thomas and are still contemplating what to do on St. Maarten. Anybody have any suggestions that would also allow Andrew to participate?

Karen

we still have the red message saying we can't access it.

All the choices for booking are grey and we can't click them

Oh my goodness! I was able to book everything except for tea for dsis & dbil. Apparently there are no tables left for 2? Other than that it went way smoother than it did 3 years ago. I was still trying to book things at 4am last time with minimal luck -I had to log on the next day- and now I'm done at 12:33.:goodvibes

Now to tell my mom she really does get to try parasailing....:rotfl: We tried last time but it was all booked. I'm still not sure if she was happy or sad about that.

Hope everyone else had good luck!

Wendy, that stinks! :( Hopefully you can get it resolved quickly in the morning?

I was able to snag brunch for 7 of us on Monday at 11, which is exactly what I wanted. :) I reserved the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel and confirmed it. I started to reserve the 12 Metre Regatta, but the screen locked up, and now all four of our reservations are locked up for 20 minutes. I'm not going to worry about it tonight, I'll book them in the morning.

Good night, gang!

Ours now says 91 days also. I send a message to DCL via website. I guess I will call DCL in the AM to get squared away.

W

Oh No! That's awful. There is something strange going on though because I just tried to do the online check in and it won't let me until 8/23? But it let me book stuff. And it did take 3 tries to log on, but i thought that was just because I was too close to midnight. Good luck in the morning.

Was able to book Palo brunch Monday at 11:30am. Hoping DS will cooperate.

High Tea shows no reservation available. Am I too late or they just don't allow online ressies?

Looks like Galley tour and bridge tour ressie is not available from the website. Wonder if it must be made on board.

Like Chuck said, we have never had problem getting a Palo ressie even after port check-in. The only difference is you won't have much choice in terms of dining time. Also you can put yourself on waiting list. There are always people who reserve and then cancel last minutes.

We are going to Coral World on our own in St Thomas. Trying to fit both the sea lion swim and the semi-sub. The Disney excursion may be too restrictive on times. We didn't lilke any of the St Martin Excursions. Most likely we will book a private tour and just hang out at one of the beach.

Wendy, hope everything works out soon.

Karen, I will show DS to Andrew's thread. He's 7 so he may not be able to write too well. But it should be interesting for him to read other kids messages.

Hi Karen. We are taking a cab to Orient beach for the day on St. Maarten. I read that the cab fare costs about $8 per person each way + $15-20 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. We plan on hanging out ALL DAY (excursions are way too quick imo)!! You guys should consider joining us.

For those days where we're going to shore on our own, can we get a boxed lunch to take with us? Has anyone done this?

Jodie

DCL Reservations Hopefully Squared Away

After a long night of trying to figure out why I couldn't book.... A pot of coffee and a some sleep helped. The Disney representative told me that when we made our reservation on board ( Leslie ~ future cruise desk ) that since we were on our first Disney cruise we did not have CC number yet and it would be added to our ressie. It was not. We have sailed 3 additional times since then with no problem. But since that reservation was made during our first sailing it did not get attached. This did not make any sense to me at all. After about 45 minutes or so I was able to start booking. No bruch or High Tea was available....

We got a Palo dinner but not our first choice. They said later in week, they may open a few brunch slots....

WOW, what a night .

Thanks for all the encouragement !!! After a two year wait, It was bit nuts around my house.

We are sorry that you had such a stressful night!! :surfweb: :confused3 However, even if you are not able to get a brunch reservation or switch Palo nights prior to boarding, if you go to Rockin Bar D when you board, they probably will be able to get the days and times that you want!! We will keep our fingers crossed for you!! :wizard:

Lisa

Wendy, glad you finally have things resolved.

BTW, still trying to setup my son but the fax number to send the consent form is "no longer in service". The "Werner Technologies" on the form seems to be out of business. Anyone know what to do with the form?

Jodie, personally I didn't like Orient Beach that much. When we went it was crowded and hard to get beach chairs. Try reading the reviews on the Excursion threads and you'll see people's opinions. If you are hiring a taxi perhaps you can ask about the other beaches.

Did anyone manage to get high tea ressies? So far no one seems to have success.

Chun

Chun:

We had the same problem with fax number... Out of order ...

We feel that same way about Orient Beach...

So far no lunch on High Tea...
