Good Monday Morning:

We are working through a little panic this morning. DDs teacher sent home two very large assignments Friday that are due on November 23 & 24. A science project and a oral report. We are praying she will let us turn them in next week since we are leaving. The assignment said that the oral project must be presented on the assigned day unless illness or emergency. We are hoping to work with her. So I sent a note in the back pack this morning, so am hoping she will call me to discuss....

Just another thing to deal with before we leave....

We hope that everything works out well and that the teacher is understanding!! We have to deal with a science fair project as well. Mason will find out tomorrow if his idea is approved. Then, we can actually start working on the project and creating the board.

Night everyone. This week will be a whirl of activity. I'm going to finish all my grants by Wednesday evening. Thursday we have Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson making an appearance at our library and we won't miss the new book! Friday we have plans with friends. Saturday is devoted to finishing the FE's, running things to the cleaners and starting the packing process.

I can't believe that we leave in a little more than a week! EEEK!!!!!

Chuck and I are huge Dave Barry fans. We participate each year in an extremely creative and massive scavenger hunt that he designs. It is called the "Herald Hunt". This year it is the day after we get off the Magic. Chuck thinks that we will be able to participate. However, depending on my energy level and the actual date that we have to complete Mason's science fair project (it is either due right before or right after Thanksgiving), we may have to skip the Hunt this year.

Well we had 3667 posts on the other thread so 265 or so would bring us to 3932.

Thus, number 333 on this thread should be 4000 total and 1333 should be 5000.

I have reminded DH to email the schools multiple times - this reminds me to check if he's done it yet. The principals need to be notified that the boys will be missing 2 days of school for vacation.

Wish I could go too...but alas, work beckons. Ridley Pearson, Dave Barry's writing partner, lives in St. Louis....I wonder if I could encourage him to do a "heraldhunt" here too! My only fear is that since Ridley is a murder/mystery type of writer (normally) his hunt would be gory! As Dave Barry put it last year, "Ridley goes into a store and comes out with a whole new idea for how to murder a person in an Icee machine and hide the evidence."

We CAN get to 5,000 post I am convinced of it....

I have to tell you this Thread has been great !!!! Chuck and Lisa and others can tell you also. Sometimes you get a Disboard group that is really not active at all.. Our early summer cruise we had about 32 posts !!! No FEs or anything...
