We've never had a bad meal there and since we like staying at Saratoga Springs, we've eaten there several times. Among other items, we've had the salmon, filet and prime rib meals. All were delicious including the accompanying sides. We've also had the french onion soup and grilled artichokes, both of which were good starters. And, last time we were there, I tried the Ricotta-Basil Gelato for dessert and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I was glad they had an option on the dessert menu that wasn't super sweet.
As far as ambiance goes, I like it because it's muted and not heavily kitchy and/or themed. Just a solid restuarant with both familiar food and some interesting menu items as well. Something to appeal to everyone.
