Turf Club?Should we?

Tell me about the Turf club. We always wanted to try it as it seemed like a nice atmosphere but I havent heard much about it. Should we go during our trip in April? How is the food? What would you recommend or not? thanks

We've eaten at the Turf Club several times and we enjoy it. They don't have a very extensive menu so check that out before you go.

The Turf Club Potatoes are delicious!

We ate there for lunch in October and loved it. I had a steak sandwich which was delicious, flavorful and tender ( my hubby had that too), my mom had a salad which was yummy and my dad had the reuben which he is still talking about. We enjoyed this very much and I know my Husband and I will be going back

We ate at the Turf Club twice in December. In fact, we had lunch there and changed our plans later in the trip to have dinner. The food and service were really good. It is not a fancy place, but it is really comfortable. The cast was great!

I have to start by admitting that we haven't eaten at the Turf Club...

It was our intention to eat their during our last visit to WDW. We decided to stay in the parks rather than leaving for dinner. However, when I originally booked the ADR, the CM told me that she believes that Turf Club is one of the hidden gems of WDW dining. She couldn't stop talking about the food and the atmosphere. This is definitely a restaurant that we plan to get to during one of our future trips.

We took the boat over from OKW last year and tried Turf Club for the first time. We both enjoyed it. One of the best meals of our trip!

I have eaten here twice for dinner and both times the service was not good at all and the food was ok. If I were staying at SSR again I would eat here as its nice not not have to travel. I wouldn't say it was horrid but again I try and remember that both nights they were slammed and we were tried

Good luck... I would say it can't hurt to try it.

We had an excellent meal and excellent service when we went in July 2009...The server was one of the best we have had in WDW and we had one of the best meals we have ever had...DH had a steak which he said was cooked to perfection...I had the pasta and it was so good...

We ate lunch there in October after checking out of our room at SSR. The food was really good. I especially liked the tomato bisque and my husband loved his steak sandwich. It wasn't crowded at all, so it would be a nice place to get away from the crowds.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful view, wonderful service.

I had lunch there twice on this trip, since we were staying there.

The salad with the citrus vinegrette and toasted crostini is to die for. I still dream about it from time to time. The onion rings with the two sauces - one sweet, one tart - were fabulous!

I had the burger one day and was able to substitute a veggie slaw in lieu of fries. Fabulous.

I had the chicken breast the second day and again, fabulous.

Definately a hidden gem. If the weather is good, you will see a lot of people walk off the golf course to have a quick lunch, but they don't stay long.

It is also nice to watch the water taxi come and go, if you sit outside as well.

I lingered both days, outside and it never got overly crowded and they never rushed me!

We ate there in June 2009 with our screaming DS who was really hungry after a long travel day. The food was good and the waitress really helped us out by giving DS a lighted up cup for free along with some snacks/crackers to hold him over.

Hi...it's Lori from BCA!!! We ate at the Turf club last fall and loved it! We asked for outside dining and it was very quite and relaxing. Food was very good. it was a no park night so we ate at turf Club and then took the boat to down town disney to walk around. whenare you going? We will be at BWV 4/21-5/1

We have been twice and both times it was amazing.

I have had the lamb both times and it was one of the best meals I've had at WDW.

I agree - its a hidden gem. It has become a must do each trip for us.

I will agree with the cm who told wheredreamsbegin that Turf Club is a hidden gem!

I have eaten lunch and dinner there several times with nothing but exceptional food and service. I love to sit outside on the patio at night and have a quiet dinner. I love most WDW restaurants, but sometimes the noise level and hoopla make me feel like I can't get away from the parks. At Turf Club, I feel like I am at a restaurant that caters to the meal not just feeds hungry park guests. Its great for families too or a quiet dinner.

Give it a try, I don't think you'll be sorry!

We had dinner there in Sept and it is on our list to go back to next August.

My Dh and I both had the steak and it was really good. One of my boys ordered the buffalo tenders appetizer as his meal and he thought they were great. We are definitely going back.

I can imagine that when you are a cm and have worked at a particular resort its hard to feel much excitement for the restaurant there.
