Ok, I am thinking about purchasing something a bit more expensive from Tupperware and was wondering if I can do the following:
Use the Tupperware email and get my 800 points for buying an eGift certificate today, the use the MyPoints link to get another 800 points the next time I would be able to receive points (i'm not sure but some have posted 7 days). Continue to buy eGift certs until I have enough to cover the cost of the item I want to purchase. Use the link when I want to buy the item and pay for it by stacking the certs. But would I get the points when buying it and paying for it with the certs too?

That would seem like "double-dipping" but I was wondering about this anyway.

Thanks so much!

I believe that can be done as long as your order comes out to more than what the certificates are for.

I've started my own collection of Tupperware gift certificates, thought maybe I could find something to give a gift for Christmas (yes I now it's only March) but I figured bye the time I get to get a few more gift certs and wait an additional month to buy an item it will be over the summer. The last thing I need is something else from Tupperware. At least it wouldn't be waisted money.

Here's what I know from personal experience:

You can use the link in the e-mail once every seven days to purchase gift certificates. You can also use use the different links on various mypoints pages (2 different ones on home page, 2 different ones on shopping page, a pop up one that sometimes comes up when you log onto mypoints - if it doesn't come up, just keep right clicking on the pop up that comes up & hit refresh until you get the Tupperware offer) to purchase gift certificates or whatever & get 800 points for EACH of those links. They are not the same link as in the e-mail so you get 800 points for each different link. If you see any of the banners "egift certificates excluded", that just means that you cannot get the 15% discount on those, not that they do not apply for the points.

After you check out at Tupperware, be sure to click on the link at the bottom of the check out page that says "Mypoints members click here to get your points" or you won't get your 800 points.

I've read on other boards, like Mazarafe said, that you can buy Tupperware with the gift certificates & get points as long as your total is more than the gift certificate amount. I've also read that the gift certificates are stackable, but I haven't tried that yet.

Hope all that makes sense.

Happy Shopping!

I've done both and it works.

I've gotten credit for each of the 800 point banners on the MyPoints website and for the emails as well.

I have used more than one eGC to purchase an item (they are stackable!) with a balance of 98¢ placed on my credit card and got the 800 points for it.

I got a lot of points from MyPoints by doing the Tupperware offers this month. I hope they continue!

The eCerts are stackable. Just takes a while to enter them all since you can only do it one at a time. I have ordered 10 eCerts over the past month through different offers (have actually tried more than that, but had computer or login problems, so I didn't get the points). So that's 10 x 800 = 8000 pts!!! You can change the amount of the eCert to $1 once it's in your shopping cart. Takes longer to rack up enough to buy something "big" that way, but that's okay with me. I actually cashed in some and got the Thasta Bowl that's onsale for $10.79.

Here are all the offers I know about:
Account Statement page (text banner)
Homepage (big banner--Award ID 258882?)
Homepage (text banner--I haven't seen this one show up since I did it)
Shopping page (big banner--Award ID 258897?)
Shopping page (in the spotlight--Award ID 258931?)
Earn Points page (big banner--Award ID 258887?)
Pop-Up Window (took me a 1/2 hour of clicking to get this to come up)
Email (Sensational Savings--Award ID 261767?; expires 3/31)
Email (March Newsletter--Award ID 263682?; expires 4/10)

That's 9 different offers worth 800 pts. each.

See my earlier post about the whole Award ID stuff. I've started tracking them to see if they change when the banners change.

I haven't been able to get the Sensational Savings Email to work twice for me. I'll probably try one more time before the month is over. And I'll try the March newsletter one again after my 7 or so days are up.

I must of trashed this one could I get the address from you and just click on it? Would that work? Also I did as you said to about the right click on the banners and I don't see an Award ID # but I do see the address and some of them are the same so I can only get 4or5 out of the 9 you mentioned.

I just finished doing this myself. I used 13 $1 GC, 1 $5 GC and 1$5 promotional gift certificate. I am SO pleased as this was something I have wanted forever, and now I got paid to have it!

I got webbies today totally $75 from Tupperware points. I just spent my GC and additional $8 to get myself a cake taker with the devilled eggs carrier. So $18 in purchased GC + $8 paid =$26. $75 Webbies - $26 paid = $49.

I am so excited. Not to brag on myself, but I am known at Easter for my carrot cake and deviled eggs. Now to decide which one to put in the container for the trip to Dads.....

Doing the happy dance! :Pinkbounc

WOW! :) Thanks so much for all the advice everyone! I feel like I have been pretty slow on the uptake for this one. Sounds like it has worked out to be a godd & rewarding offer for everyone.

Off I go to get that link from my email.

Thanks again!

Eilonwy-I have a quick question for you about the offers I am seeing on MyPoints now. I just completed 2 Tupperware transactions. First was thru the email link from my newsletter & the second was from the MP home page with the long right side banner showing the spring colors & offering the 15% off. Now when I go to my Account statement page it is showing the same offer & saying "monthly".

I can see a number (similar to different ones you posted) from the Account Statement page offer (258907) and the number of the one from the home page (the one I already used) was 258882. Do you think it is safe to try both offers and see what happens?

BTW-thanks for the heads up about changing the amount of the GC in the shopping cart, I did this both times so I only had to spend $2 to get 1600 points-yeah!

You don't right click on it--that just brings up the URL of the image that's inside the big banner. Since it's the same image on three different pages, it's going to "look" like the same offer. If you just "mouse over" them and look at the bar at the bottom of your browser (I use Explorer, so I guess this could be different for different people), you should see an http address, usually with an Award ID in it. I haven't seen Award ID's for the mostly test messages. But I did notice them for the email offers once I was finished with my actual order.

Anyway, the theory I'm working on is these numbers will change when the offer/image changes, but we'll see.

And to answer your first question, email offers are individual offers, so I don't think anyone can send you a link. I think people have gotten in trouble with MyPoints for using links that were in other peoples emails.

All of the offers I mentioned are separate offers that I have been able to get points for. So you really should be able to do them all (except for the email ones that you trashed). But that's still 7 different offers.

Yes, you should be able to do both offers. There should actually be 7 different ones on the MyPoints website.

And the ones that are monthly, you should be able to do monthly. I can't remember, but I think someone once posted that this means every 30 days and not just when the month changes. Anyone remember? But some people have had luck when the banner image changes to be able to do them again. I think the last time the banner image changed was around the 10th of this month. The new images didn't work for me (kept asking me to login to get the points, but it wouldn't take my login info), but I don't know if that's because I had just done the offers the week before or if there were other problems.

I have had 6 offers not work for me (login problem or otherwise), but that's only $6 I've paid. Granted I could try fighting MyPoints for them next month, but since I'd have to do them one at a time, I'm not sure I want to bother. Anytime I try to question more than one missing points issue at the same time, they only seem to deal with the first issue in my message. And I'm not sure I want to draw attention to all my $1 orders, if you know what I mean.

I had read about everyone else getting Tupperware points for months, and this month I finally decided to "go for it!" (Well, I did order some gift bags and swizzle sticks before Christmas to get my Rainforest GC. But now I know about the eCerts.) I figure I'll keep trying until they tell me I can't. And I'll get some Tupperware and Webbies in the process.

Sue-
thanks for all your help. I did what you suggested and I looked at the number for each individual offer and they were different, so I took the plunge. I did the one from my email (newsletter), the one from the home page and the one from the account statement page. I can't find any others to check out right now but will another time. All 3 orders seemed to go thru fine and I got the pop-up box showing the 800 point earning.

I called DH at work and got him to do the same, so he went thru and placed 3 orders too. I have gotten all 6 emails about the ecerts and he got all 3 pop-ups as well. So, hopefully we'll find out in the next day or 2 if everything credits properly. If not, we are only out a few dollars-that's the way I am looking at it. Plus we are spending money for something I was going to buy anyway. :)

So thanks to you and all you helped with their answers, we should be credited 4800 between the 2 accounts. WTG & THANKS again! :)
