I was given, as a hostess gift for Easter, some beautiful forced tulips. Of course now the flowers are dying back. Can I plant the bulbs right outside now (or as soon as it stops raining!!) or should I wait until fall?? I'm pretty sure I can put them out now.... just looking for a second opinion! (I live in Northern NE)....P

That's what I did today. Planted all of my easter plants including the tulips.

Tulips are a little tricky. They need shelter from the wind and a place where the level of the ground doesn't change. They don't like to be buried under mulch. Some people dig them up each year and replant them in the fall.

Happy planting.:sunny:

I've got LOADS of tulips and I never dig them up! If something requires that much time I don't bother with it (why we don't grow glads). Guess I'll just plant the this weekend... Thanks......P
