Tuesdays with Morrie - has it left any lasting impressions on anyone?

I have been listening to "Tuesdays with Morrie" on CD and it sounds like it's getting close to where he will die. Fantastic story but it's tugging at my heart, I haven't cried yet but it's coming... I'm such a mush.

SO far the detachment part has really spoken to me. I'm not a stuff it down sort of person but the idea of pulling out a feeling, tagging it & owning it is a new idea. I wonder what else is in there, it seems to be quite a gem so far. Anyway since this book is an oldie that was very popular at one time I wanted to ask if it's left any lasting impressions on anyone?

My DD(14) is doing an English project on this book. She loves it. Yes, I would say it has made an impression as she has a greater understanding/appreciation when dealing with my 85 year old mother.

The Last Lecture is also an amazing book.
