Tuesday MM vs. Thursday MM

I just read another post that said that Tuesday magic mornings are worse than others. If you had the option between Tues. July 3 for MM or Thurs. July 5 for MM, which would you choose? We were leaning towards Tuesday because we fly in on Monday and would be well rested. Obviously, July 4th we'd be out late.

If Tuesday Magic mornings are worse in DLR, maybe we'd be better off hitting DCA that day instead. Now that they're giving out FP during EMH (which we don't have) at California Adventure, I am worried about going there on an EMH day.

Thanks!

If you are coming from a more eastern time zone then Tuesday MM is better. First possible day for MM is better when:

1. You are able to get to sleep at a decent hour the night before (easier for easterners with jet lag)
2. Parks open at 8AM and MM is at 7AM. Trying to do a 7AM on Day 3 frequently means every one is too tired to get up and enjoy it. SO all too often people never use it.

When going slower season and park opens at 10AM, that changes things for me.

My two cents!

Note that, if you have MaxPass, you can get a FP during EMH, too. You just can't ride any rides. But if they scan you in, say, 8:30 on a 9:00 am park open, you have full access to the MP system at that moment. And the EMH people won't be able to get more than one each during EMH, anyway, since return times don't start until after the park officially opens.

And, of course, if you scan into DL on a day that DCA has EMH, and you have MP, you'd (likely) be on a level playing field with the EMH people at DCA. Typically, DL open and DCA EMH start at the same time. If DL opens at 8:00 and DCA opens at 9:00, DCA's EMH will start the same time DL opens and you can get your first FP then.

We used our MM last Tuesday. We were able to ride: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White's Scary Adventure, Dumbo, Carousel, & Pinocchio. Mind you, we got there 15 minutes late, too. The wait time for Peter Pan is crazy no matter what time you get there. By the time lunch at 11am had rolled around, we had also ridden Peter Pan, Storybrook Canals, Star Tours, Matterhorn and Hyperspace Mountain. Getting there in the morning lets you get SO much done!

I don't think there is a big difference between days. Go on Tuesday when you're well rested and able to be there at 7. Only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland will be open. Knocking out most of Fantasyland in an hour is a great way to start a trip to DL.
