I was in Epcot, near the UK on Tuesday evening and at exactly 6:45 pm I heard a huge BANG! I was so loud that it echoed. I was on my way out the IG, so I never got a chance to ask anybody what it was. Anybody else hear it or have any info? :confused3

Not sure, but around that time we were in the MK, and could actually see fireworks going off in the distance. We were in Frontierland, near Splash Mtn, facing toward the parking lot (Splash was on our right). SoG is not quite in that direction, but Disney property is so large, I'm thinking it HAD to be on property somewhere. I guess they have to test these shows or changes to them somewhere, right? Maybe that was it. I was puzzled myself.

I know at Epcot they used to have to let off any leftover shells from Illuminations the night before, something like that anyway, so it could have been fireworks that you heard to get ready for Illuminations that night.

I'm really wondering since I've been there a zillion times at 6:45 pm and have never heard anything like it. The propane "blowoff" happens after the park closes. It actually sounded like one of the fireworks rockets might have gone off prematurely. I'm still hoping that someone else heard it.

As stated before, at about 10:30 pm after Illuminations, the main globe barge lets off a huge fireball because they can't move it if it still has gas in it. I bet they were either testing, or one went off on accident. Hopefully no one was injured.
