Has anyone used this? Does it really work? (More importantly, does it really come off with just hot water and rubbing?)

I wear CoverGirl non-waterproof at home, but I know it won't cut it in September in Disney. I hate using makeup removers around my eyes because I have sensative skin.

I'm not planning on wearing much other than sunscreen & mascara, but I do need mascara, my blonde eyelashes look non-existant without it!

I was just going to post about a new mascara I am using. I have the Tube Your Lash after reading about it here- love it! The only concern I have is at waterparks with it coming off. Yes, it does remove easily with rubbing and warm water (and doesn't stain washcloths). I have light lashes also. A couple weeks ago on the Today Show they showed Tarte 4 Day Eyestain (I found it at Sephora for $18). It works great- lasts thru the day, stays on in water. I know it will work well for Disney- I am still going to do Tube Your Lash but for Disney I want to be totally waterproof at the waterparks.

Hope that helps...I would recommend both.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

The Tarte 4 looks really interesting too, I'd pay a few extra dollars to not have to reapply mascara for 4 days! :rotfl: Though, they only have it in dark black, and I usually wear brown-black.

It really isn't super black on me...I have blonde hair and really light lashes (invisible if I don't wear mascara)

About the Tarte lash stain- does it thicken the lashes at all or just darken? I went to Sephora yesterday (very, very dangerous place) in order to check this out and I obviously wasn't going to use the tester on my lashes.

I like the idea of it being able to color my near invisible lower lashes and it doesn't look like it would clump. The spot that I daubed on my hand yesterday is still in evidence after doing the dishes, having a shower & bathing my son and the oil from my fingers does not appear to smear it so it might be just the trick for me (I tend to rub my eyes a lot and I can just see me with mascara tubes all over my face).

Unfortunately I also found a to die for, perfect shade of lipstick in the Tarte section as well so if I go back to Sephora to get the lash stain I'll be coming home with some lipstick at least. I need to be brought into that store in restraints!

I bought Blinc Mascara, which is the same kind of tube technology...got it especially for the trip and tested it out at a local theme park last week. Got soaked on several water rides and there wasn't the tiniest smudge. My eyelashes were actually dripping wet so I sort of brushed the drops off against my fingers...not the faintest bit of black came off.

Wiped off very easily with a wet cloth later as promised...Dbf was in the bathroom marvelling at it with me...:lmao:

Definitely very happy with it. Not sure if the one you're asking about is exactly the same, but I can say that the tube-making mascara idea definitely works. The Blinc one comes in different colours too.

Frankly, I just stick with good ole Maybelline waterproof for the parks. Not the expensive stuff, just the standard. Works fine.

The tube stuff kind of freaks me out, but I'm ready to try anything! :rotfl: Thanks for the info on Tarte; I work next to a sephora and will check it out.

I am test driving the Tarte lash stain today. I put it on around 5:30 AM and it's still holding fast 5 hours later. Not a speck or a clump anywhere on my face. Granted I haven't been outside sweating but usually by now I've got ring around the eye (thanks to me rubbing my eyes because I'm forced to get up so early  ).

It doesn't give thick, va-va-voom lashes but it certainly does make mine visible and not obnoxiously so. No clumps, either. And even when I'm touching my lashes nothing is coming off onto my fingertips so we'll see how I look by the end of the day.

So far I really like the stuff.

I just bought the Covergirl I usually use in waterproof style. I didn't want to pay $15 for mascara, haha.

I have heard the Tarte is good the first day but it will smear if you sleep with it on (which I guess you're supposed to do since it lasts 4 days..).

I will have to try the Blinc sometime, I like that it has different colors. =)

I love the Covergirl mascaras! I don't think that you can go wrong with them...unless you're me :rotfl: . Honestly I haven't bought mascara in years, I keep using the free samples that I always seem to get from Clinique. I figured that the Tarte was technically a vacation related expense ;) .

I will be sleeping in it tonight and will report back. I certainly can't look any worse in the morning!

BTW- I wanted to thank you for starting this thread because I never would have known about Tube your lash or the Tarte lash stain if you hadn't.

Urban decay has a product called Lingerie & Galoshes For Lashes which you can get at sephora. I havent used it, but I love Urban Decay.

The Tarte 4 day Lash Stain is going back. By the end of the day on Friday I had the same dark, raccoon rings under my eyes that I get from regular mascara only these were worse because I couldn't just wash them off with soap and water. This was after no more than 12 hours of wear doing nothing more strenuous than walking to my car. No rain, no sweat, no nothing. I'm crushed. Guess I'll have to try out one of the tube mascaras and see if I end up with spider legs all over my face.

Wnderlndcat- I love Urban Decay too! I'm a bit of a makeup junkie which is why I try to stay out of Sephora. Is the Lingerie and Galoshes a tube your lash kind of mascara? Or a waterproof one?

And does anyone know if Sephora has mascara samples?

The Sephoria near me didn't have any mascara samples.

I tried the Tarte Lash Stain and had the same issue but at least it didn't happen to me until I slept in it. I woke up looking like the walking dead. Even DH commented on the dark circles. I told him I was really tired because I was working too hard. :rotfl2:

Guess I'll be mascaraless this trip since we leave tomorrow.

I use Max Factor Masterpiece Waterproof and it is really good. I've got soaked wearing it and slept in it a few times (lazy I know) and it stays put.
