We would like to try Tu Tu Tango when we are visiting in December. Does anyone know of any coupons? Any advice? We'll have a teen, 2 tweens, and a child with us.
TIA

UPDATE: Just got a surprise birthday e-mail coupon from them. I must have signed up for a newsletter or something at their site. Will have to rearrange some of our sched if I do make it as the 2 free appetizers expire in 2 weeks. Has to really be your Bday as they want to see Driver's License. Hope the info helps some.

is it a restaurant?

There used to be a certificate on Restaurant.com for it, but I looked today and it's not there. Guess their business is up enough where they don't feel they need to do that anymore.

There might have been one in the Entertainment Book. Maybe someone who had an Orland one will look, or maybe it's listed on their website www.entertainment.com .

mbb, yes, it is a restaurant. It is a tapas place that was featured on one of Rachael Ray's $40 a Day Orlando shows.

They are also showcase artist. I know two artist that sometimes work there. They are both great.

We ate there last April, and we weren't overly impressed. It was nice that the kids got to make little sculptures with an artist, but that was the highlight. Actually, that was a bit of a headache too. We dined early, and the artist said he'd send someone over to get the kids once he got set up. He didn't, and if they hadn't gone back up to him, they wouldn't have gotten to go at all. They had their hearts set on it, so they waited in what was, by that time, a long line. They were in line when most of the food came, so it was cold by the time they were done. Their mom kept going back and forth to check on them. We ordered the way they told us too, as several things looked interesting.(I think 3 items per person)..it was too much food and the bill was a bit high for what we got. As I recall though, the pizza was pretty good, the string beans were aweful, and the beef thing we got was good but hard to share (it was a stack of beef of some kind). The tuna with wasabi was fairly good, but only if you like sashimi-type tuna.
A few days later we ate at the steak house next door. THAT was a great place to eat! Even the kids' burgers were amazingly delicious! Even though the prices looked high, you got a lot of food. I think it cost us less than Tu Tu Tango, or maybe about the same, but it was still a better value. They don't specify on the menu that you get a salad with your meal. And one slice of chocolate cake was enough for the WHOLE table to share - I'm not kdding! You have to try it! If you must, dine at Tu Tu Tango, but see if you can get a slice of cake for your dessert there!

Thanks Lisa:)

I still can't decide if I really believe I could do the $40/day thing or not;) And not sure that I want to!! LOL! A couple of glasses of wine with a scrumptious desert, and my budget is blown!! :teeth: :teeth:

We love Cafe Tu Tu Tango! But it's definitely not oriented towards children ---- Oh, Children are welcome - but it doesn't cater to them like at WDW restaurants. It's the most fun if you have a larger group of fairly adventurous diners - so you can order a bunch of the menu offerings and share them! The astmosphere is bright, lively and fun. There are artists there working (usually) - but I've never seen them as "entertainment" other than the fact that you can watch them work. You can also wander around and check out some of the other art of the walls..... I guess I like it because I can try all sorts of yummy tastes - meditarranean, asian, southwest, etc.... whatever I'm in the mood fo --- I can get a good steak at home. Jill

PS.... Sorry - I don't know of any coupons....Check out the website for the menu....... http://www.cafetututango.com/

Thanks for all the input -- the good & the bad.
1 DD is VERY artistic since an early age & we've never tried tapas-style dining so this looked like a good plan. We'll see how it goes then.
Do you have any advice on better times to go or not go then?
Sounds like I shouldn't be crushed if we don't fit it in. I just won't mention it to the kids beforehand then so if it looks too crowded we may just hit the steakhouse next door!
