TTC thread take 2

We are the proud owners of a 2010 Chevy Cobalt, black. Very nice car! Love it! The payments are under $300 a month and we have a 6 year warranty.

Her name is Giselle. Yes, I named it. LOL. ;)

Gabbie

well there, congratulations!

So I went to the RE on Thursday, and will be getting a progesterone test and possibly and HSG in the next few weeks. Then the plan is wait for my DH's appointment in January and go from there.

What I don't understand is my doctor seems to think DH's doctor will want us to go through 3-6 IUI's before moving to IVF. My DH has 99% abnormal morphology, and the doctor even admits that if his second SA comes out the same that the IUI's won't work. Why would we even bother then? My doctor seemed a little put out (I'm not sure I like this particular doc) when I told her that we wanted to move forward with something that had a chance of working. She told me that it's up to us, but they normally don't like to skip right to IVF. But why would we spend time and money on something that has an almost 0% chance of working?

Thanks ladies - I don't have alot of people in real life that I want to discuss this with, so it's nice to know that there are people here that are going through the same things. :)

hm that is pretty strange. I'm a little confused. I'd definitely have those doctors get together! I sure hope the insurance doesn't require all those IUI's. It's ashame that so many things aren't logical in the infertility world!

Ok, sooooo my DH is looked at me like i was ridiculous..... but FINALLY on CD 65 I ovulated!!!! *jumping up and down* I'm so excited!!! :yay:

Back to your regularly scheduled programming...... :goodvibes

ahhh!!! I know that feeling!!!!! Congrats on finally ovulating!!! :thumbsup2

Remember when over the summer I went to the pub and met up with my friend whom I thought was going through what I was but the big word was that she "HAD" gone through it and was at the time of meet up pregnant with twins!:headache: Well, I got an email today with a picture of the cherubs. Twin boys beautiful and looking to be healthy. I told her I wished the best for her and THANK YOU so much for sending the pictures.

Started Lupron last night. Kinda burned a bit. Reminded me of back in the day when I used to give myself insulin shots and it the needle didn't go in right it would leave an itchy bump. There was no bump but it was definately itchy;) Bring on the hot flashes and the mood swings!:thumbsup2

Oh Lordy Lordy, glad they are healthy, but I'm sure you didn't wanna see that right now!

Good luck with the Lupron girlfriend! I haven't done the lupron thing but I've heard it's no fun just like the rest of it. All for good right?! Keep on it, I know you can do this :goodvibes

Well I had my 1st appt with the RE last Friday at the Fertility Clinic. Everyone was so overly friendly there it made me feel very comfortable. It was a little strange sitting in the waiting room because I often look at the other patients and wonder what they are in for but here we are all in for the same thing. Nice thing is they don't treat you after you become pregnant so no worries of seeing a bunch of pregnant women around me.

Anyway this RE is very aggressive with fertility treatments which I am glad for. So soon as AF shows up I take clomid for 5 days starting on CD2 and then have to give myself injections (which I will probably leave up to DH to give me) and followup with an ultrasound to make sure things are working. Anyway that's the plan for the next 3 months before moving onto something else if necessary.

Hi Girls! This week sure is plugging along. . . plug. . . plug. . . plug. . . Sheesh

We watched Bill & Gulianna last night. They went through the IVF process and basically showed her having her ultra sound and then part of the transfer process. (A little to TMI if you ask me but of course I was spell bound!) I was kinda surprised they shared as much as they did. Unfortunately their transfer did not work. I really felt for them, however, watching her face when the dr told her the results of her beta, brought it all a little to close to home for me. I gotta say, I wasn't a mess, but just got quiet. I think that actually made Mike more nervous;)

How's everyone today?

I watched Giuliana and Bill last night too. I'm so sad for them. It made me cry when she was reading the e-mails out loud to Bill. They seem like such a nice couple.

ETA: I'm not sure how the thumbs down got there - I don't remember adding it. Huh, maybe I need a second cup of coffee.

I would have been crying my eyes out. I got choked up during UP.

Ok so aliens have invaded my body and my ****s are the size of dolly parton's! :scared1: I have mastered the task of literally counting to 10 before I answer anyone because it's bound to come out snarkey; the tears, eh, not so much. . . yet but my wedding march song just came on so that may do it for me. . . :tilt: My receptionist is out so I need to answer the phones and the door and be nice to people. . . :lmao: Yeah that's gonna happen! I've pretty much got the "Thanks hun; Thanks sweetie; You're a rock star babe!" goin for me so I don't have to speak to people.

I can only admit this here. I know ya'll will get it. . .

Ummm and that PIA AF is STILLL HERE! :headache:

Merry Christmas my loves from the Crazy Chick in Chicago!

Deep breath.......
Hormones stink! My 'girls' are swollen today too and I can't tell if it's PMS or possibly a sign that I could be preggers. About 90% sure it's just PMS though. Don't you love waking up to what feels like someone else's body and mind? Ugh!

So I take it none of us got a surprise for Christmas? Bahumbug! Well, we all get a fresh year and a fresh start in 2011, right?

Here's to hoping that we all had a wonderful holiday and that we all have bouncing bundles of joy in 2011!

Hey ladies! Christmas was great and it was awesome that we got to surprise my parents! They were shocked to see us on the door step.:goodvibes We came home last night and we were very lucky to get out of NY. I was up at 5 this am to go for my U/S and blood work. Just as I started to write that I was nervous that the nurse hadn't called yet she just did! So I'm to start the estrogen today and lower my lupron shots. :thumbsup2 It's a step foward so I am thankful!:goodvibes

Hope everyone is doing well! :goodvibes

Good Luck!!!!

Well AF reared her ugly head this morning, and three days early to boot! The only good thing about it is now I can call and schedule my HSG and can start peeing on those OPK's so I can get the progesterone test. I'm not sure I'm ready for all this. I'm ready to be a mom, but not for all the poking and prodding and such.

Hope everyone else has better news!

So glad she called and everything's a go! Before you know it, you will have little embryos snuggling inside of you!!!

I'm very hopeful that the lack of any good news around here means that 2011 is going to bring lots of happiness to us all! :)
I go back for an ultrasound Monday and will be doing an IUI once I have a mature follicle. Gonna do our first IUI a few days into the new year... might as well get that deductible out of the way early on right?! :rotfl:
