Can I drive my rental to the TTC and catch a monrail to the Magic Kingdom? How does that work? Thanx.

Yes. That's the way it works. When you're parking for MK, you are at the TTC.
Trams will take you from the parking lot to the monorail station and boat dock. Or, if you arrive early enough you can skip the tram and walk over to TTC.
Boat or monorail from TTC to MK. :thumbsup2

If you're staying in a Disney resort, be sure to show them your resort parking pass. Resort guests don't need to pay for parking at the theme parks.

What is that parking lot across from the Polynesian, isn't that the TTC parking lot, can I park there?

Yes. That's the TTC parking lot, across the street from seven seas drive. $9 to park, unless you're a resort guest or AP holder. You still need to boat or monorail to MK.

So if I park there I could literally walk across the street to the monorail station?

When you park in the Magic Kingdom lot, the cast members will direct you to the next available space. This space will be close to where they are currently stopping the trams. The tram will take you directly to the monorail. Unless you get there very early in the morning and get a space close enough to walk to the monorail, your best best will be that tram. Bottom line is, they're going to direct you to the best available parking spot, you don't need to drive around looking for what looks like a good one.

That night, you'll need to remember which section and row of the parking lot you're parked in. You'll then need to get off the tram at that section. To make sure you don't forget where you parked, here are three suggestions: 1) Write down your section and row number, 2) call your cell phone and leave yourself a voice message with the section and row number, or 3) use your digital camera to take a picture of your section and row number.

No, at least not the way you're describing it. Are you looking at a map and if so, is it online?
You can park in the HUUUUUGE lot in front of the Ticket & Transportation Center. Depending when you arrive and where you're directed to park, you would most likely take a tram to the TTC, then the monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom.
If you arrive very early (but not before the TTC lot opens, or at least not too long before), you may be directed to park close enough to the TTC that you can walk under "the street" and up to the ticket booths, then the TTC transportation.

There's the Polynesian parking lot in front of that resort, for Guests of that resort and where people visiting the resort to shop or dine can park for up to three hours; then there's the TTC lot to the right of the Polynesian, but I don't think there's any lot across from that resort.

If you you're on the road where the Poly is there is a huge parking lot across from the TTC, that is the lot I'm talking about. Can you just drive into that lot or do you have to go thru the Magic Kingdom gate and they will direct you to that lot. My curiousity is I would like to judt drivr into that lot across from the TTC, is that allowed or do you by luck just get guided ther when you enter thru the main MK gate? Sorry for all the questions.

No you can't park in the lot across from the Poly it is restricted parking for Cast Members.

I know the lot to which you are referring and you can not just drive into it of your own accord. It is part of the overall TTC lot but as others have said, you will be directed to whichever part of the TTC lot is being filled at that point.

That particular part of the lot is usually used by CMs I believe. At least over the years I have seen many "purple pants" and Polynesian CMs walking over from it.

The road where the Poly' is goes between the TTC (MK parking lot concourse with monorail station) and the MK parking lot itself. A tunnel under the former road connects the latter two. The huge parking lot you saw is the MK parking lot.

You cannot drive directly from the road to the Poly' into that huge lot; you must pass the Poly', go to the end of that road, turn left, and take a roundabout route. Follow signs for Magic Kingdom.

Thank you!

Take a look at this aerial and it might clear all this up:

Any time you go to MK, just follow the signs to MK and they will lead you to the MK toll plaza. Once through the toll plaza, you will be directed into the MK/TTC lot, where you will park. You can then walk or get a parking lot tram to the TTC. The tramway and walkway from the lot to the TTC pass under Seven Seas Drive, which is the road the Polynesian is on.

The TTC is essentially the place where you get the monorail or ferryboat when you park at the MK lot. From the TTC you can get the monorails to MK, the MK resorts, or Epcot. You can also get the ferryboat to MK. And you can get the busses to the other 3 theme parks. Off-site hotel shuttles also stop at the TTC.

We've parked in the parking lot by the TTC where you can walk under the street and to the ticket booths and TTC. We were so excited to be close but YIKES! when we actually started walking it, from where we were parked, it was long! Fine going in but such a longer walk coming out of the MK.
We would rather take the tram!

Also, LOVE the tip to take a digital camera picture of your parking space info!
(OK, so I'm a technopeasant and just learning the world how the digital camera conveniences!) Thanks for the tips!

If you look at the Picture that Willcat posted, just under the "W Seven Seas label" is the Chip & Dale Cast Parking Lot for both the Poly and TTC Cast Members, as well as the Bus Driver Cast members. As a Cast Member we are not allow to use the Trams into TTC so I normally walk from the Chip & Dale Lot and through the Minnie Lot over to TTC Entrance every day, its normally only take a few mins to get from the car over to TTC. The access to the Chip & Dale parking lot is restricted and you need a Cast ID card in order to get the automatic gate to open and let you into the parking lot. :cool1:
